Saw on a few websites that the passenger side secondary timing chain tensioner in the 4.6 4v is facing the wrong direction. Does anyone have any experience with tensioners that face the opposite direction such as the one in the link below or the one from Accufab? Do such tensioners make any difference? (such as engine runs smoother, more HP, etc etc).

I have one. It doesn't make a difference. I did it because it's technically the correct way to tension the chain. OCD!

I run these on my engine as well as his primary dowel pins. Biggest gain from these is keeping things within tolerance at high RPM when variation is most probable.

Engine runs same as stock. No added HP either. Just added security knowing everything will stay in place.

Anyone ever try the accufab version? I ask because they are only a short drive from me.

I have the Accufab tensioner kit on mine. Chains, tensioners, and cam spacers. Very nice. Also, these are the only kit that Jordan from Modular Head Shop in FL uses. I also got the complete Shelby Mike's billet primary guides. Also a nice setup.
