I have a 2019 Ford Explorer Sport that I bought used back in November of 2019. Shortly after I bought it, I noticed the horn wasn't very loud. Popped the hood and there is only one horn. The bracket has a location for a second horn, so I thought the previous owner removed one horn. I ordered a new horn from Ford and when I went to pick it up, it also only had one horn. We had a 2016 Explorer Sport and that had two horns. Does anyone know if the electrical connector from a 2016 would be the same as my 2019? Any other ideas? Thanks, Curt

I can't speak to the connector but for one recent year on the Mustangs, it was either 18 or 19 I forget, Ford (to save money) deleted the low note horn. A lot of people complained about it and I believe the added the low note back since then. AFAIK people who had the single high note were able to easily convert, so you should be able to just swap in a dual note horn plug and play. Should check on the explorer forum to be sure though, someone may have covered this.

It's been years, but when i ordered horn(s) for my 93 MGM from Ford, it came with the connector to mount the 2nd horn.

The horn connector is usually a spade-type connector.
