Yesterday, after 18 years, I finally decided to stop daily-driving Panthers. My 2010 Vic was starting to become quirky and I just never bonded with it like I did previous Vics, Marquis, etc. So, I decided to take on another car payment and bought an Ecoboost Flex. Yeah yeah, I know, water pumps, etc., I did my research and I'm aware that I will probably eventually have to sink thousands into this.

Anyway, pretty fun behemoth of a car/wagon/van/SUV? - 365HP TT-V6, AWD, heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, bazillion speaker stereo, BLIS/cross-traffic/advanced cruise control, tow package, updated wheels, really the only options it doesn't have are the vista roof and the 40/40 middle row.

Also, back in October, I bought a 1982 Cougar wagon from Arizona. Other than being blue and wagon-ish, it has little else in common with the Flex. EFI 302, T5, headers, plenty of...uhhh...patina, but most importantly no Snow Belt rust. It's a Fox body and it's very spartan by comparison. I really like it, though.

That Flex is one FAST blue brick!

Love the, didn't even know that they made them, Cougar wagon!!
SO MANY mod options because its a Foxbody.
Being a 1982.....does it have a 7.5" or an 8.8" rear?
Gear ratio?
What does that thing weigh, maybe 3,400 lbs?

I love the blue AND the patina.....what a sleeper!!

I never got used to the looks of the Flex. We’ve had an Edge Limited which has been just excellent the entire time except a bit small for me. We rented an Expedition Max a couple years of years ago which was absolutely everything I could dream of in Luxury but the price… For some reason the Flex always just looked to low and long to me? I’m sure I’d dig it if ever rode in one.

Now the wagon. Sign me up!

Joe - it has an 8.8 out of a 2003 Mustang GT. Not sure if you can see the 5-lug conversion and Cobra brakes up front.
As far as weight…no idea…with me it’s probably over 2 tons!

RCR, thanks!

Bob - long and low is how I like it! I want this thing even lower! Lol

Those are both nice picks!! My friend had a flex yes he put some money into it but it was a very nice ride overall. Yours looks like it will be fun! I just picked up my 2nd Marauder 2004 with 61k miles. Nice and clean with trilogy #166. Super excited to own this one now have both years!

Like Joe I didn't even know there was a Cougar wagon. Is it the cousin to the Fairmont? Good luck with both. :)

Had a tuned 2013 Flex Limited, car was an absolute bullet with the AWD. Brew City Boost did my tuning, but not sure if they are still around. Ended up trading it in on a 2013 F150 5.0.
