Issue: Loosing Coolant
For the past year (or so) a small amount (1-2quarts) of coolant was intermittently disappearing. The loss was usually heralded by a gurgling sound from the heater core when the engine was idling in P(ark)
no visible signs of a leak - heater core, radiator (and all hoses), water pump, intake manifold, ground spills, etc., etc., etc..
no telltale exhaust signs.
no engine over heating and the cooling fan was WAD (Working As Designed)
Usually occurred as the result of some extended and SPIRITED highway jaunts. Having underdrive pulleys, I wondered if perchance the water pump was being over-driven, but then... Naw, they were installed back in 2004.
On a WAH (Wild Ass Hunch) the coolant reservoir cap was replaced. *VOLARE!* Problem solve-ed.

For the past year (or so) would get an occasional P0133 DTC (Oxygen Sensor Slow Response: Bank 1 - Sensor 1); infrequent with no partular rhythm or reason and the DTC was manually cleared.
could not find any obvious vacuum or exhaust manifold leaks.
sensor wiring appeared OK. *no chafing or breaks.
no apparent MPG or power loss.
red-neck tuneups had no effect.*couple of tanks of fuel with TECHRON.

Issue: Transmission fluid
Have routinely maintained the tranmission fluid; fluid flushed at ~50,000-miles and ~100,000-miles. While the fluid level has never gone-down and still retained a red-ish hue, decided that perhaps it was time (at ~150,00-miles) to perform a pan-drop/filter-change. And, use the opportunity to dust-off the box containing the Econoline transmission pan with a drain plug to swap-out the original transmission pan, and re-fill.
The magnet in the original transmission pan (F6AZ-7A194-A) was slightly fuzzy, however, not unusually so. And, the original filter (that was cracked-open) did not contain any nasty bits.
