Hello, I'm having some issues with the air springs not airing up in the morning but function just fine in the afternoon when I'm driving home. My first thought was maybe the air bags might have a leak or something. I got the car up in the air letting the springs extend but didn't hear any hissing, the springs felt like they had air in them too. Didn't see any cracks or weathering on them either, they look fairly new! So I did some googling and seen a few videos on a grand marquis on Ford Boss Me YouTube channel. This got me thinking about the compressor side. So this morning I did some rooting around, checking the air line, seemed fine, checking the connector seemed fine. So I started the car up and waited for the compressor to kick on, BOOM, heard a very slight hissing noise coming from the compressor area. So I reached down in there and started twisting on the dryer and got it to stop and the springs started taking air again! So what I'm thinking is happening is that in the morning it's relatively cool and the plastic/o-ring (if it has one) shrinks, then in the evening when it's over 100 degrees out the plastic/o-ring swell to create a seal. Does anyone know if there is an o-ring in there that can be replaced? Thank you! 🙏

I would just replace compressor..Arnott or Suncore.

I'll keep that in mind. I got curious when I got home today and took the pump out to see what that o-ring looked like, of course the o-ring fell apart when I pulled the dryer off. Replaced the o-ring with a new one. We will will see how much more I can get out of this pump.

So far so good! The air suspension is working great now that I replaced that o-ring and didn't feel like I was riding a hard tail sportster to work

Drill some larger weep holes under the compressor as the tiny ones Ford drilled clog and can cause the compressor to sit in water.

uh oh! My compressor stopped running. The suspension has been riding low...hurt my boobies while I drove over the bumpy roads...and I'm a dude! Ha! I have never actually looked at this part...it's underhood? Imma start the treasure hunt!

It's underneath the air intake.

Man...thanks soo much!!! We JUST figured it out (I was just about to reach out to you!) The linkage at the leveling senson was loose and hanging down on the exhaust (we heard a metal something bumping up against the pipes) the connector was rusty and detached. Once we reattached it, it immediately started filling! AND as an added bonus the new compressor is almost silent! Wow!
Fixed!!! Yahoooo!!!

Glad you got it fixed. Maybe you can come down to Liberty (about 20 miles southeast of Greensboro) for their monthly cruise-in on the 21st (weather pending); I and 2 other Marauder owners meet up there almost every month.

That's great! I will try to come to one of those!
I just found my ride sensor was super crusty and barely articulating! Do you or anyone know the part we need for that? The electrical sensor part...

I usually just take the bracket and rod clean them up with a wire wheel or brush.Lube everything up and you should be good to go.

No, I do not know the part number...would have to Google search it. The cruise-in in Liberty is held the 3rd Sunday of every month from 1-5; we usually meet up around 2pm, hangout for a couple hours, then head over to Siler City for some BBQ before going home.

I agree Tasca is hit or miss. I've had 100% good luck with them but a buddy recently had to wait almost a month for a part they listed as "in stock".
