Made the mistake of leaving my car out in front of my house yesterday. I went out to find that some little punk egged the rear driver side door. The paint actually chipped where the egshell hit. The egg sat in the sun for a while and did a number on the paint as well. Body shop said it's around seven hundred bucks in damage. The whole door needs to be repainted. It almost would have been worth it...if I could have cought the little prick that did it...never :censor: with a mans automobile. Just needed to rant a little.

My uncle had a problem with eggs, but on his house, and his neighbors' houses and cars. He set up a camcorder on the street and happened to get the license number of the car being driven for the egging.
Just a thought.

I was thinking more along the lines of a remote operated mini gun that can detect the presence of an egg :uzi:

i like to think there's a special place in hell for people who do things like egg cars. i don't know if it's true, but i like to think it.

I'm hoping the old sayin "What goes around, comes around" rings true. You can only get away with so much for so long.

That absolutely sucks...punks like that always seem to be stupid enough to go back and do it again, so watch your car and be ready to catch them. I bet it was 2-3 high school punks acting like grade schoolers. But if you don't catch them, one thing I've learned in life is karma works - and it's a motherf*****.
I cleared out a space in every one of my garages for my Marauder.
That way, no matter what house I wanted to keep the car at I would keep it safe.
Sorry to hear about what happened to your car. I hope it was random. If not, then perhaps the camcorder idea is not such a bad one.
Best,
Dan

Here's a story that might make you feel a little better:
Last summer someone whacked my mailbox (in front of my house) with a bat on a Monday in July. Happened again on a Wednesday and Thursday the same week. Friday night my 28 year old son came over, he drives a 2000 Corvette. He knew about the mailbox destruction so he backed up in my driveway and waited. About 9:15 pm the dumb bastards fly by and whack it again. My son bolts out of the driveway and catches up to them in about 5 seconds. Gets the plate number and comes back to my house. We call the cops, they track them down, get arrested, brought to court and end up doing 100 hours of community service only because I was feeling generous the day we went to court. The court magistrate wanted to set a trial date, which would have gone on their record. I convinced them to give community service for the elderly. I saved the little jerks butt.
Now if they had egged my MM - well, they'd be doing time.
Sorry about your situation. Check with your homeowners policy. They might cover some of the damage.

I filed a police report for insurance. Three other people on my block got hit. I'm hoping they catch them. Cop said they rarely do though. I'm not a very forgiving person, I'd ask to have them drawn and quartered. :mad2:

Darn shame. Little bastiges. Let's hope whatever prompted the vandalism is now out of their system or out of your area. It truly amazes me how little respect some people (young adults included) have for other people's property.
If I had been caught doing something like that as a kid, I would still be wearing a size 10 workshoe in my a$$. I had no reason to fear the police when I was a teenager. I kinda figured my Dad wouldn't let me live long enough for them to arrive. I learned all of the right lessons from great parents. Maybe exercising that size 10 or 9 and 1/2 today a little more often would cure some of spoiled prankster and teach a little responsibility and respect.
My $0.02 FWIW.

My dad had small feet; but his fists were the size of cantalopes. On top of that, his arms were about 3 inches longer than normal. Incredible reach, if you know what I mean. Given the choice, I preferred the workboots.

I'd take that as the good news. It seems that it was just part of a random attack/occurrence. That means they just didn't target you and your Marauder. That's a good thing!!! Hope all works out with the insurance company.

I'll tell ya straight up that a good portion of the coming generation has no respect for anyone or anything. I deal with them on a daily basis. The liberal do gooders have created a monster that there is no cure for. The days of a little street "justice" going along way are over. Nothing raises my blood pressure more than people that think they have the right to do what ever they want to whomever they want anytime they want. :mad2: Whats even worse are the people who won't prosecute these pukes when we do catch them. The world's screwed up, someone press the stop button and let me off please....

May they get theirs tenfold, preferably in a dark secluded place where no one can hear their screams. Oops, my dark side just made a cameo.

Wow, and you seem so calm, I would already be in jail. Reasons like these are why I don't own a gun, I would have used it. :shot:
PS. I should through some eggs on my hood, roof and trunk lid and get them repainted, oh wait.....that's insurance fraud......never mind.

Black Beauty, Sorry to hear about your MM. Years ago I had the same thing
happen to my Black 85 GT Mustang. I never knew how bad egg was on a
car's finish... I let it sit for half a day on my paint and it wasted the black!
I never found the punks who did it which is probably good because I'd just
be getting out of jail about now. Hope it didn't trash your MM too bad.
