View Full Version : Question for Dennis
Dennis,
Why do you recommend the installation of a different sway bar when doing an SC upgrade? I suspect that it is to aid in acceleration traction, correct? But does it affect the ride stiffness or the cornering ability of the car?
Thanks,
Dan

Not having a S/C yet....my initial thoughts are that it does help the cornering ability of the car.
But you also have to remember that you'll be putting 400+ to the rear wheels. The more stiff the rear end is the better...in more ways that just cars  :D
I've got DR's rear swaybar upgrade and it still floats at speed...in a good way. Its a dream to drive.

The sway bar does nothing to help the launch...it's only for reducing body roll in cornering...but it's a logical progression to upgrade the handling of a car when you add more power...it's also a good idea to upgrade the brakes...

The rear sway bar helps cornering and handling, the rear sway bar really does not help launching a stiffer front bar will hurt the car launching do to weight transfer
