Hello! Just picked up a black 04 w/moon roof, trunk org and heated seats.
To those who know me from the CVN board as BThomp you will know that I have looked for the door code in almost all of the places listed for CVs GMs and now MMs. I can not find the code in the following places. PCM, trunk hinge, wallet card, owners manual, or any other misc stickers. There IS a code on the PCM which is repeated on another sticker, but it does not work. This sticker number has a -34 after it besides so I don't think it's the correct code:confused: . I'm getting no luck from the dealer and plan on stopping by today to wring some necks..but I'd thought I'd ask here first. The only other place to check is the door module itself...but I'm not in the mood to rip open my drivers door...YET!

The keyless entry code is in one place only....the computer. I had to go back to the dealer to get the code read.

First off, welcome aboard. If you have not received the card with the owner's manual, then the dealer owes you the job of looking up the code. Aside from that, enjoy the site and your new MM.

Thanks for the responses.
Looks like I'm heading back to the dealer this afternoon.:mad2:

The keyless entry module inside the driver's door, DOES have the factory-programmed code on it...

Sometimes there is a box under the dash with a taped code on it.

I can see mine behind the glove box. Looking through the open glove box door.

Oopppsss. Forgot to mention that location too. Behind glove box...not there. I really do not want to open the door panel...but for s+g's...what would be required. It looked like a series of three or more sheet metal screws. Any surprises in the door? Do not have the tech manual yet for this one.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but . . .

I only seem to remember the "lock" buttons (press two right buttons simultaneously). But I always forget . . .
What buttons do you press to open the trunk?
What buttons do you press to open all doors?
Thanks.

P.S. I received two stickers with the door codes printed on them with the car's documentation.

You are correct the two right buttons on keypad when pushed down together will lock the doors. The entry code should end with the 3-4 pad which will unlock the drivers door. The 3-4 button pushed again will unlock all doors. The 5-6 button should unlock the trunk following the other code(s).

On mine I enter the keycode and then "3" to open all doors. I enter the KC and then "5" to open the trunk.

I had card in the owner's packet, glove box when I got mine. I agree with the above. The dealer owes you the code.

Thanks,
-A

Badger, there're a couple of hidden screws...you have to remove the switch panel for one, and that little triangular piece (the "sail"?) up in the corner for the other...but you don't need any special tools...there's a nice tutorial on here somewhere, but I think Logan's still upgrading or something because I can't find it...

The dealer only needs to simply hook up the WDS and read the code. A newer feature of our keyless entry systems is you can program in 3 personal codes instead of just 1 like on older GM, CV, and TC's

The Default Keycode was on the keyring when I got my Marauder.
It was also on a card in the Owners Manual kit.

All of these other places mentioned will also yield the same code,
but your dealership should give you the code for FREE.

Also make sure you get 2 KEYS, 2 Door Lock Remotes, and a VALET KEY !!!
If you are missing ANY of these, your Dealership needs to ante up on them.
Replacement keys are in the neighborhood of $65+ !!!

Got the two key fobs and three keys (one valet). There was a number on the keychain that was too many digits long. That was the first series we tried. Wife just called to say she had the code....but grrrrr!...didn't tell me.

I almost locked myself out while showing a co worker the car.
Never realized how much I relied on the keyless entry.

A badger waiting is a cranky badger.

Here is a secret.
You can't lock yourself out of the car if the key is in the ignition,
you press the lock button and then close the door.
The keyless entry will sense the key in the ignition and unlock the doors before you even get a chance to close them.

The STUPID part is that once you close the door, if you press 7-8 and 9-0 to lock the doors,
it will override the keyless entry and you'll be SOL !!! :alone:

Actually, not SOL, but conveniently able to leave the car running and locked for a quick stop at the convenience store. As long as you know your code! Before I found out about the 7-8 + 9-0 trick I was quite bummed about the loss of that capability.

As for the original question, all my earlier cars with the keypad came with the stickers pre-installed in the standard locations but both of the new Marauders had no stickers installed, but had 3 stickers in the documentation with the owners manual so you could install them wherever you wanted.

Just an update. Got the code from the dealer. All is well. Thank you for all of your replies. Love driving the MM. It's a much different ride from my Bilstein equipped 98 P74 HPP. In the MM case the spring rate is higher so the little bumps are not felt until you get to a large bump. With the CV the bilsteins make you feel more of the little bumps but the car is much softer of the large bumps.

Handling is different too. The wider tires help the MM even though she rides a good 1-2" higher in the rear then my slightly lowered CV.

Now, you can post the code here with us. That way, you will always have access to your Marauder in case you lose/forget it again. LOL. J/K....

Yes, the Marauder is essencially a different car as far as all that is concerned. The new steering set up is worlds apart as well

Hi Carfixer.

Are we able to program 3 ID's into the 2003 models? If so, what is the procedure?

I have a NGS if needed.

Jim

I'm not positive about the '03 but I found out about the feature in my '04 ownerr's manual. I just checked the Ford service manual and the procedure is not in there for '03 or '04, I guess Ford forgot to inform the service manual people of this feature  . If you can't find it in your manual, I will post instructions from mine to see if the '03 has it.

From the 2003 owner's manual:

Programming your own entry code
1. Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when pressed).
2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step 1.
3. Enter your personal 5 digit code.
(Enter each digit within five seconds of the previous one.)
All of the vehicle doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of
the new code.
Do not set a code that includes five of the same number or presents
them in sequential order; these types of codes are easier to figure out.
You can program up to three personal codes to unlock your vehicle.
These codes do not replace the permanent code that the dealership gave
you.

Erasing personal code
To erase all of the personal entry codes programmed to a vehicle:
1. Enter the factory-set code.
2. Press and release 1/2 within 5 seconds of step 1.
3. Press and hold 1/2 for two seconds.
All of the vehicle doors will lock and then unlock to confirm erasure.
