Single.

I was married last year for 11 months, Jan. to December. My wife spent 4 days in a locked psych unit last May and after her "recovery" from suicidal behavior had an affair last fall. I got the house, both my cars (my two at the time), all the furniture and the diamond ring back.

Ya think you know people...

I came out of it ok though...! :D

I've come to the conclusion that nobody really knows anybody. You wake up every morning and do the best you can and sometimes life still bites you in the butt. I applaud your survival- it's a horrible story and it speaks well of you to be able to post it and it end it with the "big grin" smilie. I predict someone good coming your way- you earned it.

Didn't see him on the registration list.

That's got me thinking now. I saw a nice GT mustang the other day. the bottom half of the car was red, but the hood, roof and trunk were black, and the black spread to just where the panals curved down. It was georgious! SO many cool things you could do with the a Marauader. Anyways, if those stripes are real, they are very nice IMO.

I'm divorced (almost 25 years), was married for 7, 6 happy, 1 crash and burn.

No children.

I am owned by a 3 year old female Akita, who also owns my parents (and prefers my dad over any other creature).

There is a girlfriend candidate at present, who has seriously hurt her chances by telling me, just before my headers were put on , that she didn't like cars with loud exhausts.

Single-never married, but being in an eight year relationship with a gal sure felt like marriage. Was supposed to get hitched this past June but we don't have enough bandwidth for the story :)

However, I do have a 9mos old and a 3mos old...see my sig for details.

Married. It'll be 16 years in April 05.

I got married at 23 and, contrary to the opinions of some about how important it is to "test drive" things before making a decision, my wife and I decided to get married without the "test drive" first.

It made for an exceptional honeymoon. :fire: :banana2:

Hey, ya gotte break em in right and set the standards early on. If they won't accept your toys in the beginning, then they're definately not going to when and if things get serious.....That's why I probably belong out west or down south like James keeps telling me. More conservative women over there who LUV guns. What can I do, the decent paying employment for me is here in Liberal-ville.

But w/all the nut cases I've met, it's me who pulls away after the first or second date. Not them. One of the ones I've met from N.Y. said to me "Wow, you race cars, and shoot guns. It sounds like you live a pretty dangerous life" after I heard that, I thought to myself, "Can you spell boring?".....or actually, "Boring & Liberal"

Same lyrics, just with a heavier baseline, here for me...

Women of the same age as me (27ish) have a ticking clock, if you know what I mean...

But try and get along w/them for any length of time. It just aint happening, unless you want to be whipped. ("yes dear", "sorry dear"....u know what I mean.....I'm all for curtousy, and mutual respect, as well as sacrifice, as long as it's a two way street. Alright, here's some insight into me... I date mostly (but not limited to) Asians. Picture this - they are typically <5'6" and I'm 6'6" 270ish, and white.

This goes over REAL well with their parents - Ironically, they all seem to have the same nickname for me... 白妖怪 (don't know if Chinese characters will show up), but it's pronounced Baak Gwai, which translates loosely to "White Monster" and is not to be used as a joke:eek:.

Hey, that’s great! And definitely doesn’t add any additional stress to a budding relationship...

I'll steer my thoughts back on course, now - My ex's typically drive Hondas/Toyotas/imports. Some have actually made upgrades to them (not just rims and bling). If the mods are ricey though, I WILL leave the girl, just on principle.

So, while I’m on a first date, this girl made multiple comments about Honda-this, and Honda-that... Her Prelude was soooo fast... Blah, blah, blah... I got fed up, realized that this was too annoying to put up with, and did something I usually never do, until I’m able to feel out the response…

I dropped the hammer in the Lightning! Smoke poured off the rear tires, as 500+ ft/lbs begged for them to hook up, and as we slowly crawled forward, amongst smoke and the smell of burning rubber, she grabbed the “Oh Ish” handles, and proceeded to get very quiet.

After I had stretched the Lightning’s legs up to about 75mph, proving my point quite well, she turned to me and said, ”Yeah, the truck’s kinda quick... Why doesn’t my car feel like that?” We ended up talking about cars (she was genuinely interested), and it lasted a few weeks (way longer than it should have). Same girl drives a 2002 Mustang GT convertible, now

Ironically, I'm seriously thinking of getting the Chinese characters tatooed on my arm...

Well, all of the girls I dated have been born in Indiana and aren't Asian. I wouldn't mind the Hondas except the girls just see them as cars-they don't care about them and I do the unappreciated wrench turning and they get angry when I ask for the 10th time "How long has it been since you got the oil changed...YOU CAN'T REMEMBER?!?!". If I ran across a girl that drove a Honda but was into it, that would be so cool. Bleh, I just need to be patient.

BTW, I almost accepted a job with Honda because they make some good kit, but I need a car with a bit more personality.

Married for 24 yrs. 1 daughter starting college in the fall. The wife has never wanted anything to do with the cars. The deal that we have is that anything spent on the cars, she gets the same to travel with. It was good years ago, when she didn't know what suff costs (really dear, those new heads were only $50), but now she's learned what stuff really costs. So, she gets to travel to some pretty nice places (back to England this fall), and I get to play with the cars. It works out pretty good. But my daughter has got the car bug from me. She has two little Eclipse's. The '99 GST is really a fast little car, and she is pretty good at the track, but still getting used to the 5 spd.

Married 10 1/2 years. I still remember the day I fell in love with her too. We were at a hockey game, and she was telling me some story while we were splitting some nachos and beer during one of the intermissions. One of her nachos broke apart and fell into her beer. Without so much as a pause in the story, she reached into fetch the wayward nacho chip, popped it into her mouth and finished her story. Long cool woman in a black dress.

2 daughters, 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. One dog that lays around and licks herself and puts up with a hell of a lot of tail pulling from the girls.

OK, maybe too much information.

36, married once 14 years ago for 2 years of bliss. Haven't heard from her since she ran off with a friend of mine. No kids, but still have two parrots we raised from eggs (if that counts). And I was adopted by a kitten a couple years ago.

Seeing a fine woman now who has two kids, 18 and 17. Biggest heart I've ever met.

I can't believe how many head cases there are out there amongst the single crowd.

Tell us about yourself. Are you married and for how long? Do you have kids and what are the ages.
I'll go first. Married for almost 31 years, 29 year old son{still at home}, 26 year old daughter, married. Oh, and a 15 year old dog,[Barney]. LOL RAY

Married 42 years and like yourself, a Parts Manager at a New Car Dealership.
My wife doesnt smoke, drink and she wouldn't swear if her hair was on fire,
She's lucky she married me, I'm strong enough to do em all for both of us.
She is an absolute angel, her exact words to me were "If you don't buy that
Marauder and have some fun then I'm goint to buy it for you". And she did.

Divorced after 5 years in June 1994. Still have custody of our now 13 year old daughter, Hannah. Ex-bi....ahhh....ex-wife....no, Ex-Harpy now only $7000 in arrears for child support (was $10,000), because she got a suprise last year when she filed for a $3000 tax refund. The IRS sent her an explanation that she won't be getting any refunds until it's paid off. I got the $3000. Hannah now has $3000+ for college.

I was faithful, she was not, and flagrantly so. My advice to guys that have had the same experience, ask yourself one question before you entertain the idea of forgiveness and reconciliation. :depress:

"How long before I wake up in the morning and think there is a traitor in my bed?" :mad2:

This was not for me to judge her for I know people can change. This was for me to judge myself so that I can forgive her and not subject her to a tainted relationship. I know me and for me the answer was "NOT". :burnout:

Look hard in the mirror guys and ask yourself the same thing, I know you'll make the right decision.

When my daughter goes off to college I plan to marry an ugly girl, just like the Isely Brothers suggested. No more trophy wife for me. :D

Greetings,
Married 35 years and was just told we should buy another MM! Yes, dear! See what a woman that likes cars will get you? Trouble, double trouble! HaHa! Just kidding!
I have 2 daughters -- one 31 and the other 29. Wouldn't trade either. One is an architect and the other is an automotive engineer.

It's all relative my friend. A Stepford wife would be no fun. 'Carrie' would be fine, if you're 'Riddick'.

My girl is about half a bubble off plumb, but then again, so am I. It works out. ;)
