As I mentioned last month, I won't be able to attend this month's meet. We are leaving tomorrow for New York.

One thing I would like to mention for your discussion is the Kannapolis Cruise. There is a car show in Cannon Village the first Saturday night of the month. I showed the MM last night and had a great time. There were over 300 cars on display and many more just cruising the street. It starts at 6:00 pm, but I got there at 6 last night and had trouble finding a place to park. You just park in the normal parking places and everybody walks up and down looking at the cars. The next one is September 4th. I plan on attending.

I won't be able to attend this one.

Note: I was going to the Credit Union
and as I was pulling up to the ATM
the guy in front of me puts his truck
in reverse and starts moving backwards
towards me. I laid on the horn and about
four secons later he took out my
drivers side headlamp and my grill.

He gets out of his truck and begins to
laugh, then asks me if I'm gonna call the
police. He has Allstate Insurance. Any
suggestions for someone to put her
back together near Raleigh Durham.

Today is a sad day in Coryville. :mad2:

Hopefully you did call the police, if anything, just to hold him up from getting to where he was going. Make him stick around for as long as possible, that would show him for being an ass and laughing!

Sorry guys, probably won't be able to make tomorrow's meeting. We had a TON of rain down here yesterday and I had a newly landscaped area wash out with most of it going into our pool :bigcry:

Looks like tomorrow will be spent in clean up, damage repair (thanks a bunch, Bonnie!)

BTW, we never had hurricanes up in Cheeseland, only friggin snow up to our eyeballs 8 months of the year!

Looks like Charley will be joining us if we do indeed meet.

I am for cancelling but if someone doesn't get the message, I sure don't want 'em showing up and being the only one there.

Looks like it's down to marauderman, Butch, and me. Chime in, guys, and let me know what you think.

I'm a little nervous about bringing my car down there with the storm being predicted as bad as it's grown to be now.

I'm for cancelling it for now. My surprise can wait until next month. Nothing real big anyway. Just more of a "wow" factor than anything else.

I think that is prudent, Butch. Just need marauderman to pipe up. I am sure he will before the evening is done.

Maybe instead of going the month we can meet next Saturday?

PS..My brothers home in Punta Gorda, Fla. where Charlie is landing as I type, will surely take his new home away--$500K ....I called him and had to ask..do have insurance--he said yes,,flood and all, has a $5K deductable..said he was unset with it' as costly and deductable so high, but now feels so thankful he went ahead and got the coverage --said he was going down from VA for a weeks Vac. next week,,but instead he'll being cleaning up instead...so sorry for all those being effected with this storm...our prayers are with you all............Tom and Kathy..

It will be our normal Sept. meet before I can make it back down there.

I'll let you know if I have something open up, but right now, my weekends are full until then.

Hope everyone makes it through the storms ok. We've already had 3 reports of tornados in the past 24 hours, and the MAJOR stuff hasn't even gotten here yet.
