I just got a brand new Marauder crate engine off ebay. A little insurance policy. Now I can be a little more brave about pushing the envelope on the tuning!

The motor is on the up and up. Price was a bargain. Email me for details. Another may be available.

You should build up the Crate engine and keep the stock engine stock.
The Marauder is worth more with the OEM engine because the serial numbers match the car.
Drop the built up crate engine into the Marauder and store your OEM engine in your garage...

Put a set of forged pistons, a Cobra forged crank and billet oil pump gears in that crate engine, then swap. I did something similar with mine. My stock engine had no problems when I took it out. It's on an engine stand waiting, just in case. Of course when I get tired of playing with this stuff, the engine will go in something else and I'll put the car back stock.

Check out Kar Kraft. I got their link off Blue Oval News.com. They had Cobra engines, Marauder engines, Mach 1 engines, all pull outs at great bargains.
