Mmmmmm Tasty....My dad test drove one and loved it.:D:bows::rock:
It's a Harley V-Rod with rims and paint job...the stock rims are solid...I like these 5 spokes.

Nice poser machine.
Here is a bike.
A lot of Harley guys will tell you that a liquid cooled Harley isn't a Harley. LOL. They'll also try to convince you that loud pipes are a safety feature.
So much for credibility.

Dan

I now the V-rod is fast, but it's a Jap bike wanna-be. It doesn't look like a Harley. Given the choice I'd take a real Harley (such as the Fat Boy model).

I am not at all a fan of Harley's, but that is one sweet bike!
Here is a picture of my last bike. Turbocharghed, V-Twin, Shaft drive.

One of these was right beside Donny, Marty and me on Friday...it was all silver in color, though...and had the solid wheels. It was SWEET and he ran with us for a couple miles down Highway 41.

Guess I'm not too swift on attaching files. Why does the attachement in my above post appear as a link and not a thumbnail? And why is the image so small?

I think it defaults to that, James...when it's a bitmap instead of a JPEG. See if you can convert it to a JPEG....upload it to the Gallery...then Copy/Paste it into your post...and it will show up BIG like this...

Woaface, you can now see what I mean by the above comment that I've quoted. The crowd who're not even Harley enthusiasts as well as many of the RICE-A-Roni boys LUV the "V-Rod" since it's nothing like a Harley. That isn't neccessarily a put down unless you choose to take it that way. it's just a fact.

Well, I still like the V-Rod, but I'd buy a fatboy in a heartbeat...saddle bags and all. But if we're talking ricers, I'd buy a Honda CBR 600. Yeah, here are a few more I'd love! Sorry about the wide lovin' here:) All in all, the second bike is my favorite of these. But hey, I need to learn how to ride first!!!
The first two are 883 Low Sportsters.

I like it loud, but not so loud you can hear it 4 and 5 miles away. I might like it that loud were I not already half deaf from my stereo and a few other things. Hell, I live in the south, and the bike has to say SOMEthing.

I'd say get one of these

I have to disagree with you, Billy, when you say the V-rod is a ricer wanna be. I see too many styling cues taken from the other Harleys in the line for that to be tru.
Compare...

If the V-rod is tring to imitate a Jap bike it would only be trying to imitate a Jap bike that is trying to imitate a Harley. (Did I just say that?)

The V-Rod motor was designed by Porsche. HD could not design that motor with all of the time in the world. If I HAD to have a HD it would be a V-Rod.
That 883 Sportster is great for shaking paint and is a good ladies bike.
Any 600 sport bike like the CBR will get an inexperienced rider in over his head in a heart beat. I see parents who will get their kids a 600 thinking that 600's are small and slow like they were when they were young. 600s run in the tens now for the quarter.
James if you want an eye opener check and see what your insurance would be on a new CBR600.

If I ever got a bike I'd be well out of college. I don't plan getting a bike for a while and I realize the potential of the CBR. That's not THE reason I like it, but I like that about it. As for the sportster...I love how it looks. It's the additude it shows, it just has a feeling about it.
