I'm not neccessarily recommending the Denso plugs, but if you want the right Denso plugs, then contact Dennis Reinhart who is a vendor of this board. he has the right # plugs that you need, and he will beat any price on them I'm sure. And w/plugs as expensive as those are, that's important.

Depends...

If you have a chip which can take advantage of colder plugs, use IT20 That is what I use and they are working good.

If you want to use stock heat range, better ask Dennis for sure but I believe they are IT22

Anyone have the part number for MotorCraft double platinums that fit our engine? I noticed that the plugs are not x2 plats, maybe not even platinum.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding of which plug to use is as follows:

Stock replacement plug is the Denso IT16 (#5325).
For a MM with a chip (eg: Reinhart Stage I) use IT20's (#5326)(one step colder than stock).
For a S/C'd MM or one with chip, gears. 180° stat, & high performance exhaust (Reinhart Stage II), use the IT22's (#5327)(two steps colder than stock).

I've included some links with more info.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if higher numbers were hotter or colder, just knew what I've been running.
