That's a really tough one to answer since there are sooooooo many ugly lookin ones being made now......kinda makes you wonder how many drugs the style designers'/engineers' Psychiatrists must have them on.

It also makes you appreciate your Marauder all the more. What a great lookin car.

I gotta agree with you guys.
Some of these designers have to stop smoking their designer drugs... :pimp:

and a guy walked past my Marauder, looked at me and said,
"That be ONE GOOD LOOKIN' car !!!".

Aztek is real bad, I think their guys took breaks smoking dope with the Avalanche guys.

Citroen seems to have a good handle on ugly. You ever see that small one? It's in one of the James Bond movies.

Of course Citroen is French so what do you expect. Their women make up for it. (if you like hairy armpits)

Any Toyota-YUCK!

The Aztek is a very close 2nd. When they are done making the last Aztek, the end of production ceremony should include bashing the last Aztek with bats and sledge hammers to put it and the American car buying public out of their misery.

Gentlemen, Gentlemen, Gentlemen*, I hate to correct all of you BUT it is a Honda EXCREMENT, not an ELEMENT. I recently saw one that looked like a saddle shoe...remember them? The SCION is a close 2nd. Luckily almost all the AZTECS are in the junk yard. I agree with the Chevy AVALANCHE, I call it 'THE AVALANCHE OF PLASTIC PARTS' !
*SORRY Ladyhawke I didn't want to exclude you.

For me its a 3 way tie for "in production" uglys...The two tone Element, the Scion XB crate on wheels and for several years runnin the ode to ugly Aztec. Also don't forget some of those early Saabs and the VW Thing.

Aztek, Element, and Scion are a tie. Probably the same design team went from company to company and got fired from each.

Had to follow a slow going Scion a few miles today in LA traffic until I could get around the punk ricer and get away from his dopey car.

I am right there with the rest, the AsTic is so ugly its FUGLY.

I am going to catch flack for saying this but I have alwasy felt that the caprice and roadmaster were ugly cars. From the days of the box bodied ones to the whale bodied days I thought they were ugly. (This does not change the props I give to the SS owners.)

Now they look ok but at least they used to have something that made them stand out. Now, it is hard to tell any of them from the other.

I am quite surprised that the PACER hasn't been on this list yet. Maybe I missed it. Imagine the cost of window tinting on that. The Pacer was a rolling greenhouse.

What about the Subaru Brat, the Justy and just about any oher Subaru car from the 70's to the 80's.

As I recall the Honda CVCC was pretty ugly.

Oooh, and what about the Cadillac Cavalier? I think that they called it the Cimeron, didn't they? It looked like someone crushed the trunk on the thing. They shoulda crushed the rest, too. :)

Now I am on a roll. Does anyone recall the Buick Reatta? How about the Ford EXP (the one with the eyelids) and the Probe? YECH! The Pinto?

So many ugly cars, so little time. :)

Best,

Dan

I think our Marauders look better than any Impala SS ever made, or any Buick Roadmaster, but I must admit that this Impala SS in this pic looks pretty good. This is owned by one of the guys from the Impala SS board.......

Patrick,
I agree that the AMC Gremlin was ugly; but I drove one for 2 years in Army Recruiting and it was a real runner mileage-wise. Put close to 50,000 miles on in 2 years and had not one problem at all. Even got to start liking it despite the chopped rear and landing field hood.

Let's not forget the Hummer. Bigger=more ugliness. One BIG rolling mass of ugly.

I also nominate the Avalanche. It looks like it doesn't know if its coming or going.

And yes, the VW bug is also quite foolish looking.

But hey, its easy for us to make fun of other cars when we have Marauders!

I had to drive and Aztek right after they came out for a radio validation test. Everyone kept staring at me, pointing and laughing, so I made a big sign and put it in the rear window and it read, "Company Fleet Vehicle, Not Mine...Please Disperse." People seemed to understand.

Speaking of Maddox, I can't believe how popular that guy is. I'm a sys admin at XMission, the ISP that hosts him, and you wouldn't believe how many hits a day that guy's page gets. I agree with Fiat Multipla......That is one ugly muh ****a. Although they are not available in the US so most people have never seen one. For US delivered cars I agree with the Aztec and Elements as being the most current ugly cars.

Some folks mentioned Gremlins and Pacers. Just about any AMC car (except the 65 Marlin and 69 AMX) were ugly cars. The ugliest of the Ugly though was the 73-75 Matador..... :puke: ...Even the colors were ugly.

The funnier part of that is that my friend who owns one calls it that and that's where I learned it. He bought it because he said his interior is like that of a Jeep - it has holes in the floor (no carpet) and he just hoses it out whenever his kid gets messy in the back of it (young child for all you gutter-minds).
