Still 2 weeks until the Woodward Dream Cruise and things have already really begun heating up! The last few weeks have seen increased activity out on Woodward, but last night it was in full swing. The traffic was heavy and thick with classics, muscle cars, hot rods, you name it! The street was lined with lawn chairs and lots were filled with cars. Between the lots of cars, and the endless parade of hot rods cruising Woodward Avenue, it was quite a spectical.
Over the next 2 weeks, things will get more and more exciting as the "Cruise" phenomenon builds to a cresendo on Saturday August 21st. This is THE largest car enthusiast event in the world bar none.
I took a few shots of what was happening out there last night at around 11PM. Sorry for the poor quality, but lighting was bad.
BTW, don't forget that the Motor City Marauders is hosting a private lot for the entire Dream Cruise weekend! Although all the spaces are filled up, I think there are two people looking to sell thier spots. Darebren and mpierce were scheduled to come from out of town, but have both run into other commitment issues. PM them if you want thier space! If you want to be a part of the largest car show and cruise event in the world, you won't want to miss this!
