My daughter and I have been joking back and forth for a month now about wanting or needing a new radio controlled Hummer they had at Walmart. So on a whim, we bought "me" one for my birthday just for the hell of it. My wife had no idea what we had planned for it or why we kept talking about it so much.

My daughter has pretty much claimed it for her Pomeranian dogs. She has taught them to sit on top and ride around the house. It's so cute when you see it in person. They love riding around the house and have no fear of the Hummer at all. :)

What bothers me........ if it had been a real Hummer and she crashed it..... she would probably still laugh! :D

You should take a video of the dogs riding the Hummer and send it in to The Planet's Funniest Animals. You could get $100 and a t-shirt.

What is your dog doing to that stuffed animal? This is a family forum.

Nice toy. I miss playing with all that stuff now that my kids are grown and I have limited excuses to buy stuff like that.

The US Army HMMWV has the stability of a brick and a really low CG. It is darn near impossible to flip and will take a 60% side slope without a problem. Of course, I said almost impossible to flip. If there is a way, some soldier will find it - usually with disasterous consequences. Running off the side of a scale 10 foot embankment like in your daughter's test run -- is probably one of those cases. :D

I agree with Brian,

I bet they would show it on TV.

Too cute.

HAHAHA! The one near the back of the Hummer is a rabbit. The one on front is a dog. The Poms use them as their "cushion". It's actually how we tricked them to ride so easily. The Poms figured if it was OK by their toys, it was OK for them too.

The TV idea is a thought. My daughter runs the Hummer full speed down the hallway, then stops abruptly. Makes a u-turn and comes back. They stay on the entire time, enjoying every second of it! :)

Good question. I would have to say........... yes. As a matter of fact they looked at us and growled and barked when the battery finally ran down. As if to say.... GO! GO! GO!

When I went to take #1 Pom off of the Hummer to get to the battery and place it in the charger, she growled at me and snapped at my fingers when I tried to take her off. She didn't want to get off. :)

Just don't give them the keys to the remote control or they will be out cruising all night and the battery will be dead when you go to use it in the morning.

For those who never saw them before, this is what they looked like a year ago when they were 6 weeks old. Before they grew up. :)
