It may get ugly here, I hope the storms die out and nobody gets killed or looses their home.

We've had nasty weather this summer... I predict 2005 will be a beautiful sunny hot summer. ;) (seriously, I recall 1994 was similar, and 1995 was a blisteringly sunny summer).

Twice this week, we've gotten hailed on, several tornados in the area, flooding, etc. Luckily, the hail in my area wasn't big enough to damage anything but I kept a close eye on my Marauder and '78 T/A which were outside due to lack of space in the garage (I cleared some room last night for the '78, so it is now permanently indoors too).

Last night Charlie took a small hook to the left. It is expected to turn North. With what they are predicting now, it will go to the left of Key West and go ashore somewhere around Bonita Springs and Tampa. We just might get real lucky here in S. Florida on the east coast. Just has a side note, Key West has never taken a direct hit from a hurricane. All you west coasters need to button up and put the MM in the garage. Andrew did a number on lots of cars by blowing sand.

the sky is falling!! the sky is falling!! wolf!! wolf!!

i'm so sick and tired of these "weather forecasters" scaring the hell out of everybody. i've been living in sarasota county since 1990. and i've been keeping track of these "predictions". since 1990 they've said we would be hit, either directly or indirectly, by at least 11 named storms. we've gotten rain twice from these storms.
in july of 2000 they did this same thing [lloyd bridges from airplane!] 'it's coming right at us". they closed schools and businesses for the day. people boarded up their homes. i mowed my lawn and washed my car.

the only time they were right was 2001, when we lost power for three days due to trees being felled by the wind. it rained for two hours, then the sun came out.

don't worry about us, we'll be fine.

God Bless.i've got family up in nanticoke [wilkes-barre]. i heard they've been getting a lot of rain lately. i sure hope you don't get too much rain. floods suck.

down here, they're still not quite sure when/where it will hit. schools are already closed, as are the chain of car dealerships [13 in this area] that my wife works for. don't worry-the marauder is clean, safe, and sound in it's concrete block garage...

Well ,it seams that the National Weather Service is still not sure where it will land. I've heard 2 different forcast's for the east coast so far from the local news stations. and about 3 different for the west coast. Lets just all hope where every it lands that the property damage is not too much and no one gets hurt or killed.

The Tampa Bay area has not taken a direct hit in quite some time, but Andrew hurt physically and financially members of my family. I hope no one gets hurt.

I pray for all of you as well. My parents are up here visiting and our home in Bradenton (2 miles from the the beach) is unwatched...and unprepared.....:shake:

Too late now, time to cross our fingers and hope for the best.

its 1214 pm est as i type, and i m 150 miles due east of tampa- i just went for a swim in my very warm pool and prior to that i cleaned my MM wheels & tires.

i ve lived here since 91 and every hurry cane scenario (save andrew) was overhyped. better safe than sorry i suppose.

if it was that bad we d all drive F250 4wds, instead of dead sexy, puts chevys to shame, stealth grocery hauling Marauders.
