That Boxster plate pic was on the e-mail circuit a couple months ago. :revenge: Regarding the other plate .... it wouldn't pass the plate censors in VA.

You would be surprised what passes through the filters. The plate actually is available in Virginia as we speak. :)

Here's another one that just snuck though the filters. You would think this could never happen. DMV would probably issue it, it's all done by computer. Then they would revoke it once somebody files a complaint.....

Hey!

How do I find a link like that for Iowa? (where you can search for available plates) That type of search tool would be useful.

Thanks,

Try IOWABMV.COM or something similar...nearly every state BMV has a website these days.

We saw two ladies in a convertible with the VA plate: OH WTF

I can't locate a tab on the PENN DOT site to look-up available vanity plates. Anyone know if PA's site provides this function?

On that note I bet 4Q2 would work although it wouldn't be as deep as QQQQ.

I can't say for sure that Pennsylvania doesn't provide that function... but I wasted a bunch of yesterday looking for it... must be hidden next to the map of smooth roads!

Guys, using the CA DMV web site for sample plates you can get all SORTS of outrageous and obscene stuff to be accepted, UNTIL you have to explain it, and it still has to be screened. Anything with FCK will get flagged and disallowed, even if the web site accepts it. The site is just to tell you if the plate has already been assigned, not that you will get it or not.

BTW, any one stupid enough to put FCKCOPS on his car deserves whatever he gets! (-:

Tnx.

Smooth Roads? Um, y'mean those exist in PA? Sounds as if you had the same luck finding the tab as I did. I tried to email 'em and ask, but guess what? There's no way to send an email that I could locate. There's a "contact us" tab, but it's a dead end. So much for the new, friendly, responsive, Penn Dot.

I agree with you. But, only because the F word is vulgar and obscene. Otherwise I think a person who dislikes cops has the right to voice their opinion. Just like a badge bunny or fender lizard can get personalized plates such as LUV COPS on their cars. :)

EDIT - ps. I just ran LUV COPS in Virginia. Somebody does indeed have it displayed on a vehicle in Virginia. :D
