A friend of mine (who is BBS-challenged) wants to know about chips. He was going to have a local shop (Houston Performance) put a Kenny Brown chip in, but they're now saying they're having trouble finding a chip. I don't really know what they mean, but whatever.
What are you guys doing for performance chips in your MM's? And what kind of tuning is going on in your programs (timing, shift points,...)?
Thanks!

You'll find a link to him on the main page. Don't bother with anything else.

Cool, thanks.
I'll tell him to call.

MH, I dyno'd his chip and it's good for 20hp and 30ft lbs on a unbroken in motor throughout the rpm band. All at a nice, flat 12.5 A/F ratio...

Well, he got his chip and 4.10's installed. He ended up with the Kenny Brown chip, and he's really pleased with the results of both upgrades. Hopefully I'll get a ride in it tomorrow and see the difference (unless he comes to class in his Z06 instead).

Kenny Brown's chip, eh? Can't wait to see the dyno specs!
