Recently 2003MIB gave me his take off coil covers which
I subsequently had chromed and installed on my car. Last night at our get together at Chuck's I went to return my take offs but he declined to accept them. He suggested instead that I pass them along much as we did with the valve covers. If you remember we started with TAF, (or maybe it was Glassman) in Atlanta buying a new set from Ford and selling the take offs to the next in line for the nominal sum of $50.00 + shipping with the agreement that no one was to monetarily profit from the transaction. They were to be used by the purchaser to have powder coated or chromed and then installed, thereby not tying their car up while the covers where in the shop. Many of us now sport customized vale covers due to this act of kindness. Now we have a "like new" set of coil covers that I will ship to the first person who posts a desire for them for only the UPS charges. All I ask is the promise not to keep them but to likewise pass them along under the same terms as soon as possible.

To those of you who know 2003MIB you are probably aware of his recent misfortune with his Marauder. I won't go into that story here as he (and I'm sure Logan) really don't want that discussed on this site for what are their own reasons and I think we should all respect their wishes. That said, and once again not going into the story, very few people on site know that 2003MIB "took a bullet" for all of us. His main concern as his plight unfolded was not his own pride or pocket book but how his decisions would affect the Vendors, members and moderators of our beloved site. In short he is a true hero and if we ever have a Mercury Marauder.net "Humanitarian of the universe" award for Marauder related selfless acts he would be, hands down, the winner.

I know this may be gauche complementing him on what he has done for all of us and then saying we need to respect his wishes by not discussing them, but believe me he has his reasons and they are very good ones. If, in the future he and Logan feel that they can prudently reveal the rest of the story without creating a firestorm I am sure they will do so. In the meantime I just think it's important that other folks know what this man has done for us.

Well done, 2003MIB and thanks from all of us.

If they are still available, I would like them.

Thanks Rumble- you're making me blush-really. It is certainly more accurate to say I wanted to "take a bullet" but too many folks aren't letting me do it. We all talk about how cool it is that this site is here for us- believe me- it ain't just talk.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't know about Dan's recent misfortune, but now I'm sure curious! Especially if it involves problems with a vendor, I (and I bet a lot of others) would love to hear more.

All good guys with good products as far as I'm concerned. I called you at the office but you were on the other line- lawyers....:blah: :blah:

Well done, 2003MIB and thanks from all of us.What are you trying to do to me? I have to live with him. He finally stopped having our 4 year old refer to him as King Dano!;) I can tell you Dan is very touched by all the kind words and actions.

For the record:
I never had the boy call me "King Dano"- it was "Amazing Dano"- man's gotta be humble. The rest of this post is true.

That could be handy. Be sure to bring him when you come to New York!!

New York isn't ready for that boy. The last time a critter like him was running loose up there- it kidnapped a blonde and climbed the Empire State Building to swat at biplanes.

No worries Dan. We will pump him full of deli food. That will slow him down for sure.

Are the "pass around" coil cover & valve covers still available. I'd like to get my covers powdered coated, coil covers polished and be able to drive my Marauder while it's being done.

Thanks!
