Hey guys!!!
I just spoke to Eddie (El Salsero) and he told me his transfer came in and he's moving overseas.
How 'bout we plan a little meet to bid him farewell sometime in late September or early October.

Those are my free weekends from now until Mid-October.

Any reason to party.....................
Lets do it............................ ......
How about going back to Yonkers???????
Yeah, let Eddie pick the date. After all, he is the reason for the party.
What area would the meet be in? I don't know where all y-all live just yet.

Puerto Rico that not overseas, I thought the whole country decide in the 70's to declair New York, New York as the new Capital. Their are more Ricans in Jesery then the entire Country. Maybe they should change the State name to New Rico.
Easy now. I know it is said in good fun but not everyone will laugh at or appreicate this type of humor.
Please don't think this as an insult. It is just a fellow Marauderer voicing a word of caution.

:) We can find an island north of the city.
Well Danny where's  it gonna be??
Well, if we go north of the city I would suggest the White Plains area. It will not be hard to find a place to eat and drink there and I know of this road that is just a drivers road from point A to point B.
No islands, though. :)

There used to be a great resturant on the SE (I think) end of City Island that made the best "clams casino"!!

City Island may be the perfect place.
There is a spot at the very end that David Letterman would rave about.
There is plenty of self parking as well.
I can go check it out tomorrow and see if Sunday is a busy night for them.

How about Bannerman's Island in the Hudson River near Cold Spring? No, I guess not. Can only get there by boat, and it's only open for scheduled tours (and, most importantly, no beer available). But, it's got a neat deserted castle that would be a great backdrop for a dozen or so trespassing Marauders.
Back to reality: Looks like we have two general ideas floating for the next meet (which will serve as a send-off for Eddie). One is a restaurant at the far end of City Island (is that Johnny's Reef?) and the other is Hooters in Paramus.
My .02 about Johnny's Reef if that's the place that's being considered: they have terrific fried calamari and lots of other good stuff, and you can sit at the outside tables on a nice day overlooking the water. It's a great place and, pathetically, I haven't been there yet this year. But, every time I've been there in the last few years the parking lot has been totally packed, very tight, and hard to find a spot (of course, I only pick the best weather). For that reason, I've never brought my "good" car there, only my "other" car, or better yet, someone else drove. I would love to go there, but we need to check out the parking situation first.
So, what does everyone think, City Island or Paramus?
Anybody hear back from Eddie (Elsalsero) as to his current availability so we can zero in on some date(s)?
Hellooooooo Eddie. What say you? Please post availability or give Marauder a ringy-ding.
Thanks.

I still haven't heard from him...I'm guessing we're gonna plan his thing for sometime in October.
Either way, plan something for Sunday and I'll try to make it...like 90% yes..hehe.

Just spoke to Eddie....he said he's free this Sunday if anyone can meet up...if not, possibly the following Sunday.
Anyone thoughts on where? What about Boulder Creek? There's one in Queens near the Whitestone Bridge in College Point.
