This makes the second Miss Alabama--->Miss USA that I've seen in recent memory. Wasn't there a former Miss AL back about '96-'98, maybe '99? And is this one also a B'ham native, like the other was?

I stopped paying attention to thhe Miss this and Miss that contests awhile ago, because they never pick the nicest looking ones to be the finalists anyway IMO. They claim that's because the contests aren't about beauty, but I don't buy that. I mean what other signifigance does the title of "Miss America" have? And if it isn't about outward beauty, then what's w/the "swimsuit competition" then? I think they need to get real. It's a glamour contest, so why not just be up front about that instead of trying to cloth it in something it isn't? Otherwise, they should just call it the "Miss Politically correct" contest.

But she looks so...old! With lots of plastic surgery. Shoot...if I ran that contest, the women that would win would be natrually stunning...stellar...georgious ...with just some make-up. Heck I see girls like that every day at school. So why do they pick these fake chicks who look like crap in any other outfit? I know girls that look better first thing in the morning!

Yeah, I hear ya Jimmy. They try to say that it's all about "poise" and "charm", but if that was the case, then the entire contest should merely consist of interveiws w/them at the microphone w/perhaps some talent competition thrown in. And in that case, they should just forget about the cat walk and the evening gown, and swimsuits. That's why I say that they should just call it the "Miss Politically Correct" contest.

She's "Miss Leeds Area" in the Miss Alabama contest, which places her just outside of Birmingham, pretty close.

The other Miss Alabama/Miss America was Heather Whitestone (1995), who was hearing impared, something that resulted in some pretty funny morning radio bits around here (and I'm going to hell along with the rest of whoever laughed). She now lives in Atlanta, so maybe we can get her to go give Todd a dope slap next time he gets outta line.
