Well gang it sure was an interesting day at the racetrack.
I went to Rock Falls Raceway with HookedonCV from here and a few gents I talk with on a local Mustang board.
I got 5 runs in total...and could have had a couple more but I was really low on gas....my fault : :fire:
Ok...These runs were on Stock OEM tires.
I won't add my reaction times as I wasn't as worried about them as I was launching a Trilogy/Kooks Marauder with stock tires... :baaa:
Run #1, 9:19am, 56 degrees, left lane...
0-60 foot = 2.268
1/8 = 8.799
1/4 = 13.338 @ 108.90
I was a bit disappointed but decided to try the right lane next time as I had almost zero traction (see above 0-60 foot time....spinning heavy off the line)
Run #2, 9:57am, 62 degrees, right lane...
0-60 foot = 2.156
1/8 = 8.590
1/4 = 13.132 @108.77
Still quite a bit of wheelspin but getting better.
Run #3, 10:39am, 68 degrees, right lane...
0-60 foot time = 2.130
1/8 = 8.377
1/4 = 12.895 @ 109.22
I was ecstatic. I couldn't wipe the grin off my face. I pulled a 12.89 on stock tires with a 0-60 foot time that I conceivable could pull .3 off of with widened rims.
Run #4, 11:09am, 72 degrees, right lane...
0-60 foot time = 1.924!!!!!
1/8 = 8.094 :)
1/4 = 12.599 @ 109.58
I wanted to scream I was so happy. I could not believe that I hooked up the stock OEM tires to run under 12.6.
I was running low on gas...but decided to do one more run...to see if the 12.599 was a fluke....and it wasn't.
Run #5, 12:09pm, 76 degrees, right lane...
0-60 foot time = 1.966
1/8 = 8.137
1/4 = 12.643 @ 109.76
I couldn't be happier. I was shooting for very high 12's with the stock tires...and I shattered that expectation. I'm shooting for low 1.8 0-60 foot times with the widened rims (going on this winter) and should be running sub 12.5's @ over 110.
Pics to come. Gotta upload some.
I left the track and a nice kid from crownvic.net followed me as I was almost out of gas. I ran out 2 miles from the station...  He gave me a ride to the station, I grabbed a can with 1 gallon, back to my car and back on the road. Thanks Evan! Appreciate it.
No need to :soap: about the running out of gas...I know its not good on the fuel pump. It will NOT happen again. I got to the track with just under 1/4 tank...and used it all up :)
Just a quick note of thanks to Lidio and his gang for a great job on this Trilogy install. Also thanks to Trilogy for a great product....!
Pics coming!!!

Way to go. I am surprised that the steak dinners didn't weigh you down too much. Told you when you were here that you have no problem getting in the 12 second range.

That's just plain flyin :banana2: - can't wait to see what the Nitto's do for you... Any predictions?
You're going to be in Lapeer?? With your MM? I was up at the Lapeer International Dragstrip last weekend! 15.019 @ 93.9 mph in a stocker (not my car of course)...
I'm seriously thinking about the Trilogy. :bounce:

You didn`t waste ant time getting those E.T.`s down. That was one strong performance. The Motor City Crew is getting together in about 3 weeks at Ubly and the temps will be down hopefully our E.T.`s will be down also.Great work.

The widened wheels and Nitto's should take .15 to .2 off....just an estimate though.
A Pro M MAF and cone filter and a new Lidio dyno tune next summer may help a bit more too.
This time next year I'm shooting for a 12.30-12.40 @ 110-111mph.

Yeah its really neat when you blow peoples perceptions of the car totally away. When I did my stock 14 second run a lot thought I had something internal done. But congrats now its off to the 11's

BillyGMan...here I come! ;) :DHey, more power to ya!!! I figured that 2400 RPM stall speed on the Stallion converter would work just fine w/the Trilogy blower!!! But I honestly never thought that you would even get into the 12's at all w/out drag radials, let alone turn an amazing 12.5 !!!! How many PSI were you running in the back tires???? Anyway, that's quite an accomplishment. Congratulations!!!

I know last year Dave had the Trilogy 1 car at Lapeer and he ran a 12.4 on street radials so I know it is possible.

Great numbers 5:0.....
You have a great setup. My time will come, and I'll have have that T setup as well. Some day you may consider a better stall converter and a set of backup tire/wheels combo for track days.

A "better stall converter"? Do you mean higher stall? I have a Precision Industries TC.
I went with the 2400 stall for a few reasons....and am already very pleased with the results. I'll let you know how much more after a few more minor mods and the widened rims.
PS: Can't wait to see your car Trilogized....11's here you come!
I took 1.9 seconds off my previous setup before the s/c....hope you can do the same :D
My car isn't going to be a winter driver so I'm going with the Nitto's year round (well year round for me....April-November). I'm going to send the rims out to Lidio this December to get widened. I'm budgeting 1 set of tires a year....1 new set every winter. If I go through more or less...we'll see.

Ooops, I mis-read sig and missed that. I am running a 3000 stall, but have heard results from the 3500 stall on a 'T' car produced incredible results. Nittos should work well for you. Too rich for my blood....wheel widening costs, $225/tire Nitto...etc...I'll just stick to slicks and OEMS. Must admit though, the Nittos look really tough on the car!

I'm doubtful that running a stall speed of more than 3,000 RPM's would be a good idea IF the car in question is driven on the street. Especially if it's a daily driver. I called Precision Industries, and they told me that there won't be any transmission heat related issues by going w/their Stallion torque converter as long as the stall speed isn't higher than 3,000 RPM. They said that when you go over that, then your transmission will heat up. NOT good on a street car. ofcourse that would be a non-issue if your car was strictly for the track and ws trailered there when you race it.

How long do you think it's gonna be until some posts a photo of an MM pulling wheelies? It will happen, you know, when someone gets the combination to get one of these things into the 11's.

There are already two members here getting into the 11's w/their Marauders. As far as pulling the front wheels off the ground, you'll have to atleast get into the low 10's to do that with a car that has such a long wheelbase like the Marauder does.

Not to mention the weight :lol:If your car was getting into the 10's then weight wouldn't be the issue since you would obviously already have to obtain a pretty good power-to-weight ratio to get the car to go that fast anyway. It's the long wheelbase that makes the car's front end stay on the ground at that point. There are a number of manual shift Mustangs in the 10 second bracket that not only get some hang time from the front tires off the line, but also in second gear. But w/a long car like the Marauder, I'm sure that would require enough power to get you in the low 9's even if it did have a manual shift transmission.
The long wheelbase is just one of the two advantages of rail dragsters being so long. Another advantage to a long wheelbase is that it makes fishtailing under power less likely, since the imaginary line of the circle radius made by the rear tires during a fishtail would be at a flatter angle, and would therefore require a wider sweep. And if a fishtail does occur, it's much easier to react to and correct w/the steering wheel than it is w/a short wheelbased car. If you've ever performed some hairy burnouts w/a Vette, Mustang, Camaro, or Firebird, then you'll be able to relate. Cars like Marauders don't fishtail as much even when you supercharge them. And in the rare times when they do, they're easier to control w/out having to let off of the gas pedal (something I don't like to do. :D ). Even though my Vette wasn't as fast as my marauder is now (the vette was putting 307 HP to the wheels) when that car got into a fishtail, as much as I hated to back off of the throttle, I had to, otherwise I'd end up wrapped around a telephone pole, or in the middle of someone's front lawn (been there) no matter how quick I was w/the steering wheel.
This is why big cars w/mucho power are the ultimate burnout machines. Even when they do fishtail, the sideward movement of the car is slower, and can be controlled much easier w/the steering wheel w/out having to let off on the throttle. It's a big long sideward sweep that is slower moving, and that is often easier to react to. I've been in short wheelbased cars that were merely in the 13 second bracket that will spin right around during a burnout before you can even blink an eye. In addition to that, my 73 Vette was a 13 second car, and sometimes during a burnout when the back tires would slide to the left or right, even the front tires would slide sideways despite the fact that I had them pointed forward. It was very unpredictable. A longbased car like the Marauder would have to be pushing 700+ HP to do that.

Those are some awesome ET’s FiveO. I’m glad to see that we are turning loose so many Trilogy cars that are actually making it to drags and running such respectable numbers… and on stock rear rubber on top of it all!!
To date I don’t know any one running faster then very high 12’s with the stock rear tires on a MM. Most that I’m in touch with that go better then 12.90’s are on the big Nitto’s and the wider back wheels.
Congrats and keep having “big fun” with the car.
Glad I could help.

Thanks Lidio. I was pretty amazed myself.
I'll be out at Lapeer on October 23rd and am hoping to be able to do pretty well.
I'll be out next summer sometime to have you put in one of those Pro M MAF's and cone filters and do another dyno tune.
Appreciate the service!
