:dunno:
Dan posted a thread about a close call with LIDAR and not knowing what it was, GOOGLE'd it. It seems to work something like Laser, and since there's stories about the MM being semi invisible to Laser at distance, I'm wondering if that's the case with LIDAR as well. Especially when the car has no front license plate as here in PA.:director:

LIDAR and Laser are the same thing.

No vehicle is invisible to laser. You can add an aftermarket laser diffuser...and that helps.

The size of the light beam at 1000 feet is 3x3 or 9 feet square. If your detector is on your upper dash.....it may not even pick up the laser if the officer is aiming for your license plate.

and if you have no front plate.....that may help also as the officer may need to aim higher.

Is there a way to mount the diffuser somewhere more centrally, like behind the grill? That way it would potentially cover more of the area where the beam is likely to hit.

Several diffusers can be mounted in the grill area.

Just remember to know your state laws though.

Here in MN....you'll get arrested. Down in IA they're fine.

Are you sure you had one dyno, slowed down, and did another .044 seconds later?

Anyways...Laser/LIDAR jammers aren't illegal here either. Love the south.
