I have noticed on a few occasions that if I hit a bumpy road at highway speeds that the bright light images on the road are shaking momentarily.

Is it the filament or what?

I'm being sincere- do you wear glasses?

I do wear glasses, but I haven't noticed with with other cars.

It doesn't seem conceivable that what you are saying is happening because it is a rapid shake. I don't think my head would shake that fast.

I'll try to run over the same bump with my wife's car the next time.

It was just a thought...I've been wrong before.

Having seen this myself, headlight pods may have loosened up a bit, and if they loosen up again, shocks.

Not at all.

There is no sustitute for her still --after 40 years of marriage.

One love and one marriage!

I wish the younger people could just work at it a little harder and they can see that it is the best way to go--for companionship, teamwork and sex! The statistics are unequivocal--married men get more and it is better!

Unfortunately, marriage has less of an obligation than if you bought an appliance. You're more obligated to a vendor to keep your appliance than you are to keep your spouse.

I am not sure all of the members here would agree with that!

Check that your fog lamp housing is secure. I'll bet that they are the problem.

It's strange that both would be doing the same thing.

But I'll take everyone's suggestions and let everyone know what happened.

Than you all for the generous comments.

I just checked the fog lamps. My passenger unit does move easily and the other doesn't. I'm sure that is the cause of the problem. My dealer just replaced that lamp.

I'll get that lamp housing checked out.

I should have easily found the problem. But its so easy to go on line for suggestions.

Thank you for the help.

There is a support that attaches to the bumper cover. It is not attached and that is the cause of the problem. I replaced the factory push in clip with a nut and bolt and the lamps are snug as they were when I did it lasty spring.

:hijack: Um, but since it's your thread, and making allowances for your advanced age, I guess it's ok.

Back to the headlights, that's not normal, and I'm betting there's something loose, although it hardly seems likely it could be a bulb filament. Perhaps it's that shade thingey that covers it? :dunno: I understand a bulb swap's not a picnic, so why don't you have one of those super bright starlight bulbs in hand the guys have been posting about, and change it.
