If it's for real, it's kind of like a Ninja claiming it can outrun a Harley. Wow, big surprise.

I guess anyone can post his or her time slip. I was looking forward to Marauder only times(to include Panther Platforms), but that was my personal expectation. :argue: Maybe a poll should be started or maybe not. Anyway nice times :dunno:

Yeah, nice times. But 1000 lbs weight advantage? Maybe John Force should post his times. I would have also anticipated the timeslips page would have some relevance to the full size cars we drive.

It comes down to the board owners decision if he/she should allow NON board type cars to post timeslips.

Another board I'm on decided (owner decided) that the only cars allowed in the timeslips section would be the same manufacturing company. (Kept vague on purpose).

Its up to Logan....is my point.

I know where you all are coming from and I don't dissagree but hey, let's cut the guy a break. He's new to the site, and he does own a Marauder. I just don't think he's had the MM long enough to get out to Pacific Raceways yet.

Shall I go run my 427 Cobra with sticky tires and post the ET on the Chevy website??? After all I do own a 96 S10 Blazer. Hmmmm.....Let's see; 2400 lbs and 550 HP. Should be interesting!

The question becomes what is the purpose of a Time slip database in the first place. As we have been reminded by Logan, this is a site decided to the pursuit of information concerning the Marauder. Although off topic treads have be entertained and tolerated by the board Moderators, the overall theme is the Marauder. We know where the final decision rest, but if I want time slips of non-panther platform vehicles then I will browse the web for forums including this information.

That's my .04 cents because I post twice in this subject.

I too understand everyone's point here about this, but after all, Gary is new here, and he does own a Marauder. I don't think we can neccessarily blame him since there are Impala SS guys who have been allowed to post their times in that same list. So if some Chevy's can be in there then why not others? Just because Gary's car happens to be at the top of the list now doesn't mean that it's any different than the Impala SS guys posting their times in there. This is Logan's choice to allow non-panther cars to be in there, so once you allow some, then I don't see how you can tell others that they're excluded.

Just as Merc has indicated, I too believe that only Marauders should be listed in there, but it's obviously not up to me.

I don't believe that the Nova TS should be posted either, but lets put our thinking caps on here guys.

Put yourself in Gary's shoes. You just bought your MM. You find MM.net and join. You find the time slip database with some SS times posted. (As BillyG has pointed out) You have not had a chance to run the MM yet, but you have run you classic. Hmmmm.

Now just suppose he stumbles across this thread in the morning, and figures everyone on MM.net thinks that they (We) are better than everyone else. If they (we) get their feelings hurt because there are faster cars out there then to heck with them. Who needs this.

Just remember, you can only make one first impression.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[img] />

I hope not to offend anyone; I am not drawing a hard line on Gary’s performance. I truly understand your point and I hope he will wake up to an educated discussion. No flame intended to his achievement. I offer my sincerest apologies if I offended anyone.

You make an excellent point Billy concerning admissions of non-panther vehicles. Democratically speaking, most people have not had issue until now. This tread displays an opportunity to voice our views. Guidelines are exactly this, a consensus that translates into a decision. In this country law is usually conceived by complaint and abuse. If no one complains, then the decision is considered adequate until legitimate arguments are perused to the opposed. Maybe it’s time to review the current policy if possible.

It's all good Merc, I was never offended. I agree that with the SS Impallas being the exception, the time slip page should be for panther cars only.

I just did a little digging to get an understanding of the motivation behind the non MM posting and tried my best to put myself in the posters shoes, thats all.

Is it just me, or do posts 9 & 10 look REAL funny in a behind the scenes site programming kind of way?
