i need to take off my side marker light and i see the 2 nuts i need to get off
but how the hell do i get to them? my socket wrench doesnt have enough clearance to even click once.

You're going to hate this, but I had to use a box end wrench and very, very very small turns. It's do-able, but you've got to be patient.

If you remove the headlight first, you can then stick the rachet thru the hole behind the headlight.

i ended up buying a husky 3/8 rotator ratchet. this thing is great.
you spin the handle to turn the socket. it got the job done in minutes.

Sometimes it's hard to realise the two minutes spent removing "something else" will save you fifteen minutes of !&@*#$% (!&@*#$%) time. :D
