Hey, I have a quick question about the factory spoilers for the Marauder. Most of the pictures I see of spoilers look like they are more of an extension of the trunk lid - seem to fit flush with the top of the lid (for the most part) and just extend the edge of the trunk lid out. And I really like this style. But about a year ago I test drove an '03 Marauder that had a spoiler on it. The dealership (this was a brand new car still on the lot) had installed a spoiler and said it was the factory one, but it attached to the top of the trunk lid and sat up about 3 inches - kind of like the "standard" aftermarket type spoiler. Was this really a factory option?

I am just wondering because when I get one, if it does not have a spoiler, I will add one and want the "flush" type that I see on most of the cars on here.

Thoughts?

The flush mount spoiler is the only factory offered spoiler. The others are aftermarket.

Do a search on "SPOILERS" and youl'll find lots of good reading.

Here is a good place to start, and it likely shows the spoiler you originally saw...mine!

Eric91Z,
The spoiler that you want is a Ford accessory part that any dealer can get for you. If you don't have a local dealer who will give you a good 20% discount, call Ray Jermyn, Sr. at Northeast L-M in Phila.PA and he will send you one at a good price (about $175 with ship). Be sure to get the Primed one only and then take it to a local body shop for painting & clearcoating & install (about $175 paint & install).
I should know by now as I have done 2 for my 2 MMs. Paint spoilers AFTER purchase -- the pre-painted ones get messed up in the box being shipped.

Just to let you know,
I just saw a spoiler listed on Ebay as a "pre-production" model, only 10 were ever produced, which exactly matches your description. :twocents:

The spoiler that was on the car was much like the one on CruzTaker's car. And this car was a 300A car that the dealer was still sitting on at the end of last year. Said they would never get another one because they could not move it.

I definitely like the "normal" factory spoiler - just my opinion!!!

That would be the 3rd spoiler for the Marauder, then. I have not seen that one on a car before. Just the stock style and the one that CruzTaker has.

It looks like it would be from the picture but I bet it looks better on the car. Of course I still like the stock one the most, subtle. Wonder where the other 9 are?

OK,
Who is able to email Steve Babcock and ask him about the Yellow Prototype Rear Spoiler shown on Ebay? I'm sure he would share that info with us.
For my own taste, I like the very subtle factory `extend a tail' spoiler!

If you can find it, there is another option. It is the Jack Roush spoiler for the Bondurant Cobra Vics. That's what I have. Pics are in here somewhere, search on spoilers.

Well, I dont know if there is one, but you could use the OEM and just angle it up more. Infact our fearless leader had his installed wrong on his first MM and it looked close to a nascar spoiler. Just something for you to think about.
