Wieght distribution would be a little front heavy even if the 5.0 stroker had an aluminium block! 1/4 miles might be fast if it could get traction - but autocross would not be too swift!

Dropping V-8's in Miatas and RX-7's isn't a new concept. The kits are a dime a dozen. Talk to the owners after they have owned these monstrocities over a long period of time.
The new weight displacement terribly ruins the cars performance overall. Great concept otherwise.

So when does the road racing Lincoln LS with 4.6L 32 valve engine, full cage, flared fenders, etc go on the dyno?

You are right about this Logan. I would imagine that car socks on an autocross course. Plus in my opinion, the kind of guy who would stuff a V-8 inta Miata probably couldn't drive worth aa flip in the first place.
Relative to "Autocross is as much about the driver as much as it is the car..." I know a guy with a 95 HP 914-4 that would make you cry.

Its not about the car...its about the car & driver.
I outperformed CVPI's in a Ford Explorer AWD model a couple years back on an LE track.
They couldn't believe that I could actually catch 'em.
Supercharged Marauders could be interesting at the track....its not all about HP....but moreso driving technique and traction.
Interesting setup though.....might be fast in the 1/4 :D

The company that put in the 5.0 engines in to the Miatas is Monster Motorsports. I don't know if they are still in business but they had a whole package inc a supercharger.
Just my .02 and then some.

K... How could that possibly be a lincoln? I mean it doesn't say it is... I mean, I'd expect it to say in big block letters, "LINCOLN LS" on it... I mean, after all, if you take the time to label your garbage can "TRASH", then shouldn't you be putting a bit of effort labelling your car too? Stands to reason...

I'm sorry, but ripping apart a LS to turn it into a autocross machine is just plain dumb. Almost smacks of something a chevy owner would do...

You know, when people walk up and ask questions about a car, the first question should never be, "What were you smokin'?"...
Do I need to also point out that just because a car can run 10's hardly makes it cool. I've seen 8 second Chevette's. Hardly cool. Same dumb category, "Stupid stuff people do with their money".
