Its a 'Mary Kay' show car!! :puke:
Ray, I hope that you are not disparaging the AWESOME 307cid small block... :D I don't know why they put 283s, 302s & 327s in Chevys when you could have a 307!!

All that hard work outside, and the engine looks like crap. They didn't even clean it up.

I think that the builder/owner blew all his budget on PINK PAINT...he should have saved a little for a clean 350 small block. You can buy 350s cheap on Ebay.
You know, with the money he spent on ugliness, he could have had a really nice classic Chevy. :(

I had a 307 cid in a Silver '70 Chevelle ... I ran the wheels off it before I moved on to a 1974 Charger SE. :D
Only a $1,000 on the show car .... it's got that much value in corrosion and rust alone.

That is the typical case for the ghetto "custom car". All the money is spent on paint, wheels, interior, and stereo equipment.
What a waste of a classic car.

Eh ... that's probably NOT rust on the motor.
It's probably OIL ... what Chevy doesn't burn or leak it SOME where ?.
Eric < --- will probably be punished with the dreaded start up puff & tick on the MM ... for cracking on Chevys all these years for generally being prone to such defects.
Ok ok ... so it really DOES look like rust.

Zero bids, I wonder why. :dunno: :hmmm:I am sure the kerry campaign contacted the seller directly and made a direct purchase after reading about the "flip flop pink" paint job.

$23k buy it now? I doubt they've got $10K invested in the whole car. Any one want to bet that reserve is never met?

Somebody actually bought it! :shake:
I'm going to go out on a limb, but perhaps the owner pulled the motor, and threw a run-of-the-mill 350 in, before selling... Then again, the rest of the engine bay looks pretty rough... I think it's the result of a lazy/cheap owner. I'd expect better of a car that has won "numerous Peoples Choice Awards at shows and cruises and has appeared in several national magazines.":bs:

Geez ... if someone wanted to piss away that kind of money I would have HAPPLILY taken it.
:P
If ya' gotta have a Chevy buy one that's WORTH something.
What ever happened with the 427-435HP Corvette someone was selling here ... now THAT was a WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT if ya' gotta have a Chevy.

I have seen nicer finished cars walk away from shows with nothing.... I think the seller is talking out his 4th point of contact. :bs:
Now I know how to rebuild my '68! I knew that someday I would find my dream combination! :puke: I think that I will do the Marauder up the same way. Can you get any drag radials in those wide whitewalls? They would look real keen on our cars  It makes my cry to see a Chevelle like that :alone:
