Roush or Saleen? I think I like the Saleen better.

From a purely visual aspect, I like the ROUSH application overall. However there are things I like about the Saleen, such as the front of the car. I don't like the bigger spoiler in the back though, and that's what makes me lean towards the Roush appearence.

I wouldn't kick either one out my garage.

I agree...here's a better pic of what you and I agree is the superior rear spoiler (frankly, I'd like no spoiler at all)...

LOL, how else would a 10 second Marauder owner reply???

Use the Saleen ground effects, and wheels, with the Roush rear spoiler, hood, and grill "slats" on the inside of the headlights. Oh, and leave the quarter glass open like on the Saleen. It'd be perfect.

But if I had to choose between the two as is, I'd take the Saleen.

I really like those grill "slats" on the Roush though.

IMHO...Rousch is a bit over the top, for my liking, and it could be the color. OTOH, the Saleen treatment seems to have less to undo, again, maybe it's the color.

I prefer the clean stock GT lines, the car is quite impressive face-2-face. That works for me, and I'd spend my money under the skin...IMHO.

http://www.goroush.com/images/2005/05rearside.jpgyeah, I'm not big on spoilers at all either. So if I had to have one on my car, then the smaller the better. I just don't like the "all show-No go" approach of things like that. A spoiler or wing isn't neccessary below 180 MPH, and since none of us will be driving a street car at speeds like that, then it's a pretense. Kind of like having a non-functional hood scoop. That's for "girlymen" IMO.

Thanx Todd. Very nice. Now all we need to see is what all 3 plan to do under the hood.

I like them all, but I just like the Rousch best. It reminds me of my favourite Mustangs, the Shelby Cobras.

Just my 2 cents.

I appreciate the attempts to re-style the '05 Mustang but I think that both make the Mustang look big, fat & heavy.....Too much bolt on plastic!
(The Rousch Kit looks like it has a mean UNDERBIGHT.)

I'd pick Rousch, but only if they made it with cheesey graphics, crappy wheels and tires, a single outlet rusty metal exhaust pipe that droops toward the ground, a non-functional hood scoop, and a weak V6. I'd be first in line.

Day-um, Billy, it may have taken two years, but we finally agree on sumptin! High five, bro...

Both are *****in' but I think the guys (or at least me) are inclined towards Rousch just because it's red.

Yes...red is attractive. You know, it's Elaine's favorite color?

I mean...I really liked the spoiler! I didn't think it was over the top. Not to mention I like the Rousch rims a little more. But the Saleen grill-less approach definitely wins IMO.

I prefer the Saleen the reason being is because of the fog lights. If I were to buy an '05 Mustang it would probably be a V6 because it comes without those fog lights. I have a '67 Mustang and I know the GT's use to have those lights in the grill but they were smaller and they looked better. In the 05's they look tacky. I like the plan basic V6 better, I wish it had the options of no extra lights on the GT that would be beautiful to me.

Visually, I tend to agree with your preference for the Saleen. However, the silver really draws my attention more than the fire engine red Roush. Like Mac says ... color may be factoring in somehow. Might be able to discern the treatment more equally if both were silver.

IMHO, both are a little over the top in the styling department. With that said, I prefer the Roush.

This is the picture of the Roush Mustang that I have. Bodywork is a little too busy for me. I like the Saleen better.

A blower for the 3V isn't news, the contenders have their advanced copies of the '05 Mustang. But, Trilogy on the same dance card with Rousch, Saleen and Steeda? Interesting...

I like all of them. But overall if I had to choose, I'd pick the Roush, and then give it the stance of the Saleen.

That hood on the Saleen is awesome, but until Ford does something to make the rear of the car appear smaller, I'd have to say neither.

I saw a preproduction Stang once upon a time and it had a lovely kick up shaped into at rear quarter panels and decklid. That was so much better looking than any spoiler that I have seen so far.

I think the red is actaully what botheres me. I like the Saleen, especially the hood. But I think its the silver that looks great on that car. I guess I'm in the minority, I like sublte spoilers, thus mine on the MM. But in this case I actually like the Saleen one. The Rousch looks like it was just slapped on with crazy glue. The Saleen makes the car look lower and meaner. Either way I'd take 'em both.

I don't care for all the bolt on plastic stuff but I LOVE the elimination of the rear quarter windows on the Rousch. I always thought the previous Stangs looked goofy around the C pillar and the new 1 does also. IMHO of course.

Does anyone know what the respective asking prices are?
WOW, I would take anyone of them, may be time for a trade, the MM is pushing 40K miles.
