Hi guys,
I have a recurring problem with my wipers. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. It seems they work mostly when the car is cold, soon after initial crank up. A few miles later, they dont work anymore... Nothing, not even the windshield wash.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Hoping for a "Yes! This is the problem...."! :)

No I never had that problem. IMO, Sounds like the wiper motor is overheating and the circuit breaker is cutting out. I think a trip to the dealer is in order. Good luck

To the Dealership we will go! This is such a good Marauder community that I thought I'd check to see if this is a Marauder issue or if unique.
Thanks jgc61sr2002.

could be a bad multifunction switch. had the same problem in my mustang and a new switch chased away the wiper "ghost".:)

What Tallboy said. I had to replace 3 of them on my '95 Stang.

Nope, no wiper problems here .... so far. However, it sounds like a switch problem if the washer is out at the same time.

Easy fix I had it happen to my MM last year.
It would also turn the headlights on? It was a module, replaced under warranty:)

Thanks Bigdog! But, uh... module? Is that a switch or fuse??
The only modules I know about are in computer code....
I'll just tell the shop at the dealership, "I think it's the module!" very sternly like I know what I'm talking about.
Thanks for the input! Now I know that if it's not the module, it may be the multi-function switch or the motor itself.

It turns out it wasn't the switch, the module, or the motor. It was a green wire going into the fuse panel that was shorting out. The mechanic said that it appeared "something else" had been tapped there and sloppy work caused the wiper wire problem.
Thanks guys.
