I found these, and wondered if they were the "urban legend" valve stem caps everyone was talking about...

Those look like the ones I got from Griots Garage. The use a special tool to install and remove. Without the tool the cap just spins.

Good idea, the tool thing, but knowing me, I'd forget about the tool, try to get the cap off for an hour at the gas station just to put a couple pounds of air in my tires, get pissed, end up ripping the valve stem itself off, have all the air leak out of the tire, have to put on the spare (my luck it'd be the read tire I was working on), and go home, depressed cause I broke my car... Luckily I don't have valve stem collectors around here!
