Actually it is my step-sons el camino. It was stolen from his apt parking lot on Thursday evening. When the Metro officer showed up on Friday, he already knew about the truck at the impound. It was seized at the scene of a crime.
When Kevin called the impound lot he was told that the case had yet to be assigned to a detective. He is hoping to get in touch with someone on Monday to get some indication as to when the truck will be released. And what damage was done.
Does anyone have any contacts that may be able to cut through some (if not all) of the red tape? Or any suggestions as to how to proceed?
The poor guy has really put a lot into this truck. He completely rebuilt the engine and drivetrain. It hauled his sorry ass out to Nevada from NY and he was really devastated.
