For the past year my 2004 MM was stock. I installed the G2 Timer to get some times. I have within the last week added some performance stuff and have some 0-60 times for each thing I added.

Based on the 9.28 1/8 mile run, I think my car is in the low 14's. On Friday I am installing my 4:10 gears and can't wait. I will post the improvement numbers on Saturday.

Sounds good, Directedby! Thanks for posting those before and after numbers! Glad the stat install worked out (I was on a shoot when you called). Soon, I'll be doing almost the identical exhaust mods as you at STP, so it's great to see what I have to look forward to! In addition, I already have the Steeda UDP, and that P.I. torque converter still sitting under my bed. Once I get those on, maybe I'll be able to shave it down to a 6-second 0-60 time, N/A!

I think you really need gears. Taking my car to Hoopers in Simi-Valley on Friday to install my 4:10's. For install labor, Mercury Dealer wanted $375 - Hoopers, $200.

Yeah, I've been going back and forth on the gears issue over and over. In fact, ever since we met last weekend, I've been itching to do gears all of a sudden! I just don't want my second gear winding too damn high when I downshift on the freeway at WOT. I've already got the equivalent of a 3.76 final ratio when you factor in my lower-series tires, so I would only have to put 4.10s in to achieve an approximate 4.30 ratio. Really depends on where that second-gear downshift ends up being on the freeway . . .
Yup, I think 4.30s (final ratio) with the ProCharger has got me thinking about gears again . . . then a set of those KVRs!
Anyway, if I do decide on the gears, I would be wanting to put the FRPP girdle cover/stud kit on at the same time. Also, Sarge wrote a post a while back about what other stuff you should replace back there while you're doing the gears.

Good numbers, Paul, Congrats.
I'm a bit behind in your exhaust mods, did you replace any exhaust pipe with larger OD? Got any pics of that?

Congrats on some good times. :banana2:
FYI your times are similar to what I have experienced.

Excellent times, the 9.28 on the 1/8 should put you at very low 14's, the 4:10's will make you a member of the 13 second club. Congratulations.

Thanks, Mac,
Exhaust mods - kept OEM manifolds and cats - replaced exhaust cat back with 2.5 pipe, Flowmaster 50's, Magnaflow X-Pipe, OEM pipe from mufflers to tips, kept OEM tips.

I hope you are right, but I am not holding my breath. Times are based on my G2 not a track so I am a little cautious.
I think I am at 14.4-14.6 now and gears might get me to 14.2-14.4.
I am going to plan an MM Los Angeles meet in January at LACR (our 1/4 mile track) to get real numbers.

If it gains this in the 0-60 do you think it would show the gains I say on the dyno??? I'd say so. Down low is where it gains most of the power.
Directedby: Great final results too. I love these big fast monsters! Let us know your track results.
