I saw a kit out by edelbrock and it's a 80hp shot. I can't remember if it's wet or dry. Anyway will it hurt the car if it's stock or maybe has a few mods like higher gears and a different computer set up. The reason being I doubt I can afford the supercharger this year and I wanna have little fun this year. Also if this is installed how much lower would the e.t. go from 15.1@93mph to a 4:10 gear, with the compuer mod, with the 80hp shot? Thanks :D

I don't know much about nitrous, but I do know there has been LOTS of previous talk on the subject. Try out a few searches in the topic and read to your hearts content. If you do go for it, please fill us in on your results.
check the Mach1 boards, we share the same motor.

Whether fuel is sprayed in with the Nitrous or not. If it is, the nitrous is considered a "wet" system.
Take a looky here for some very useful information:

No complaints on this end at all...I'm running the 100HP jets, my times are with Carfixer, i cut 2 seconds of my old 1/4 mile time. 0 to 60 mph times are 5.2 seconds.. The Dry kits shoot only Nitrous, the wet shoots fuel and nitrous, less likely to lean out.. only real problem now is traction. if you take it easy with the hp jets I can't see you having any problems..PM me, or Carfixer, if you have any questions...

The nitrous works great on the Marauder as posted above.
Buy the one we're all using and you will get the future support from those above.
The common used kit here is the ZEX system part number xxx026 for LS-1 / LS-6 applications. It has the hosed in the correct lenght for our long azzed Marauders.
Hit ZEX's website, but call in your order and you will get a discount. The kit over the phone is $585 and capable of a 75,100,125 shot, all of which are safe for our cars as long as you are running descent fuel to avoid engine damaging spark knock.
If I don't win the S/C raffle, I am all over this kit next spring!

Thanks a lot everyone I might install one of these next summer. Sounds like fun. I have trunk organizer so where should I put the bottle without removing the spare tire?

Seventy-five million, one-hundred thousand, one-hundred-twenty-five horsepower! Wow! I wonder if they have a 5,000,000 horsepower shot. Must be cheaper. :D
ET=infinity x i. He hit the nitrous button and the car disappeared into a quantum singularity.

I've got the organizer also, no problem with the install, the bottle fits on the upper lip to the right of the box, against the wheel wall..

I heard one more thing. a 100 shot will not hurt the car at all but 150hp can only be used a few times on a stock Marauder. Thanks for the tip on where to mount the bottle. I can't wait until summer! I'll be having fun fun fun.

I'll be having fun fun fun.Do what you want, but i wouldn't go over 125HP without some internal mod changes, plus on the 100HP shot you only get about 7 passes on the 1/4 with the 10lb bottle..Just my 2 cents worth...Enjoy...

Thanks. Sounds like the best bet is to save up for the supercharger because I don't want to ruin my daily driver.

My friend was running 14.7 with 4.10's, DR tune, and therm. He just installed a 80hp kit and took it to Dennis to get tuned. The problem he ran into was, he needed colder plugs. The denso's were to hot. After a plug change and some tuning, he ended up with 309RWH and 361RWTQ. That was a 60 RWH and over 100 RWTQ gain. The engine sounded nice to 6k, without a hiccup. We are going to the track this week, and I will post the gains. I would expect, if he can hook-up, to cut at least a second of his times.

I have the same mods and was running 14.7 without NOS. Without changing my tune or plugs, a 75 shot took off 1.3 seconds and a 100 took off 1.5 seconds. Hooking up was the biggest problem. Let us know how it ran.

So whats the most anybody has run here on a stock shortblock? 125 shot? I would think you could safely run a wet kit on a 150 to 200 shot assuming you upgrade to TR6 plugs and most likely upgrade the fuel pump. I come from LS1 cars and we regularly have people running 150 to 250 without any problems on stock shortblocks. These arent guys making a few passes either most have made 50 to 100 passes on the bottle.
