For those who didn’t know, Linda went to the hospital Thursday for a hysterectomy due to several fibroid cysts. A couple were rather large, so they had to do a cesarean cut. (Ounch!) :(
She is doing well, and back on her feet as of late yesterday. If everything goes well she should be out late tomorrow or Monday. She has been doing a lot of walking the hallways of Madigan Army Medical Center, last night till after 2 AM with her room mates.
She said to say thanks for the kind words to everyone that wished her well in chat last Wednesday.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[img] />

She doesn’t know it, but she’s getting resonator delete tips for Christmas. Don’t tell her, it’s our secret. The trick is going to be getting them installed without her knowing about it. :)

Best Wishes, Linda!
So this means BJ will be doing all the shopping, cooking and cleaning for the Holidays! According to a neighbor that had the same surgery last year, if you have a cat that likes to jump into your lap, keep a pillow handy. Make BJ do all the running up and down stairs.
Keep us posted, BJ. :bunny:

Glad it went well, and to help with her healing and recovery, see to it she does no lifting, My wife and I went thru this about 15 years ago and the best you can do for her is do everything for her. Grocery shopping is a no-no, the complete healing process is about 6 months, later on walking at the grocery store will be fine, but you reach for and pick up everything. Best wishes to Linda for a speedy recovery.:D

Latest update:
Linda is now home, and is touched by all the kind words and well wishes. She had a little trouble getting going the first day she was in the hospital, but her roommate Jan kind of cheered her on, and after she was 24 hours out of surgery she was up walking. As soon as Jan was released, Linda took over "cheerleading" duties for the patients that followed. Those of you that know Linda know it is a roll she is a natural for.
There is one of her roommates that REALLY need everyone’s prayers. Celeste’s husband is in the Navy stationed in Naples, Italy. She was bad enough that they evacuated her to Ft Lewis from there. They are not sure what is wrong with her, but they have had her on a lot of narcotics. At night she seems to be in a lot of pain. She had a seizure late last night, and had to be transferred to ICU. She could not hear when she was transferred to ICU, and to communicate, the staff had to write on a chalkboard.
To make maters worse, her husband was here with her for 7 days, and is in transit back to Italy. (That is all the time his commander would allow) He called after it happened, and Linda answered the phone, and got him on the line with the head nurse, so he knows the change in her situation.
Again to all, thanks for keeping us in your prayers, and don't forget Celeste and her husband.

Thanks Marty. Right for now the only thing Linda needs is a ride in Hellboy at Marauderville III. (Wants, now that's another story. :) )

Linda, you need to take it easy for a while--let BJ take the strenuous jobs and be patient with him--don't get frustrated and move too quickly and do damage. Ginny and I went through the same thing 27 years ago--today she is a healthy, happy, in total charge Great Grandma !!!! We have had a very rewarding life and are very glad she made the decision when she did---we are losing a dear friend we have known for 40 years because she didn't have surgery when things could be corrected---Thank God , you did. Both of yu will be in our prayers as will Celeste and her husband--we were married while we were in the service and know the frustration of dealing with military regs and procedures. Keep us all posted and am looking forward to MVIII---see you both there. Ginny and Maury
