Way cool. :D  The rear looks retro to the 1970 Chevelle.

Watch out fellas, there are a number of supercharger options coming out for this car too. Centrifugal courtesy of ProCharger and Roots style courtesy of Magnuson.

Just got the new Car and Driver. They tested the new 400hp GTO against the new 300hp Mustang GT. The GTO only beat the Mustang by .5 seconds at 13.3 seconds. To me 13.3 is not that great with 400hp under the hood. I know Dave's Mustang Mach 1 ran a 13.3 this summer with just a chip and 410. If you put a chip and rearend into a new Mustang GT it will probably toast a new GTO. By the way, Car and Driver picked the Mustang as the better car.

Haha... My buddies and I use the term "butter" all the time, refering to the above

I agree, I like the outside, and the ass-end. The engine bay is pretty good looking, too.

Go here for more info (http://alohadreamcars.com/hrss.htm)

You'd have to gut the damn thing, though! Too Ricey :puke:

If you remember when they tested a Marauder way back in?? It was slower than most of out "stock" Marauders.
Car & Driver picked the Mustang because the GTO is ugly :P
I agree with them this time around ;)

Front looks ??? Unfinished??

Rear look OK!

Remember what a stock GTO looks like:mad:

But you guys don't understand! Ugly is EN VOGUE.

Red leather seats. :puke: (or is that vinyl?) Man, that speaks volumes.

I won't be getting one because it has two doors AND it's ugly. :D

The grill..well the whole header panel forward needs help I'll admit. But if the only 3 cars left in the world were this, the Malipuke and the 300C, this would be in my garage. Thank God we have other choices. :)

That thing looks like a RICED-OUT Chevelle. I don't see how anyone can even compare that thing to the old Chevelles. :puke:

Uhh... A- on the effort rating. The back looks like it came from a factory, that way. The front looks rushed, and poorly thought out.

I wonder if people are actually buying this kit. I remember when it was in HotRod, then all the other GM-relate3d Primedia mags. There was quite a lot of support, IIRC...

I AGREE...Rear looks great...love the 'Cowl Induction' hood....BUT the front end looks like a J.C. Whitney-Ricer Kit!!! :shake:
The grille looks like it was taken off a mid 80s junkyard Dodge Magnum!

I bought a GTO 2 weeks ago and freakin' love this car!
The LS1 pulls like crazy and with the traction control
off I can lay 2 nice stripes on the 1-2 shift.

the back looks better than the front becuase they welded in genuine 1970 Chevelle SS quarter panels from Year One; I saw the pics in the mag when they were doing it.

I'd rather wait and see what GM does in 2007 when they introduce the GTO on a new domestically-built platform along with a possible Camaro and/or Chevelle/Monte Carlo/Impala.
