I am working with a company in CA for the Information center we are going to install in the bezel above the radio where the 03 OEM clock went, this center will have a trip odemeter and and work as a way to retrieve trouble codes and also allow us to monito any PIDS THAT CAN BE RETIEVED FROM THE DIAGNOSTIC CONECTOR

This picture shows the spot behind the bezel for the 04 I need to know if this is the same on the 03 A and B models this panel snaps off and very easily removed if you can snap a digital picture of this this will help a lot, you can send that to me at Dreinhart1@aol.com

I'm really excited about this project. I've been using a ScanGauge for a while now, and it's packed with live 411 taken from the OBDII port. But, it's bulky, amber lighting, and it tends to clutter the smooth lines of the MM cabin. I hope we see something soon.
BTW, the white connector y'all see here, is a constant hot/ground 12v power source, and the clock mechanicals are in the trim panel, so, if and when this project unfolds, 300A owners will have a full time 12v source available, because the ScanGauge draws it's power from the OBD port. Hope this helps you, Dennis.

I can verify that, having installed my V1 remote in the same location on my '04.

I second that. I just got my Scan Guage(s) a couple of weeks ago. Mine have an orange/red light. I wonder if it has something like a 194 bulb in it that would be easy to change out, so you could have a green color to match the instrument lights? Anybody ever looked at theirs? Having it mounted in the dash looking somewhat stock would be great.
Incidentally, I bought mine through work to put on some of our work vehicles. One thing that I'm interested in is idle time. The guy that I talked to said that it would be easy to incorporate even more info/features into the unit after we'd worked with them for a while and had some ideas on what we wanted.
It's a great little box for the price. They're on sale now for $99, and I got an even better deal for buying more than one.

If I might ask... where did you find one for $99.00? Their website (http://www.scangauge.com/) says $129.00 :depress:
Thanks!

They went on sale a while back.
mrjones...I think the amber display is permanent, built into the PCB. I didn't see any bulbs that looked like they could be changed, other than during the manfacturing process. The sample Dennis showed me was blue. BTW, there is a lot of unused room inside this box, it doesn't have to be this big.
