</td></tr></tbody></table>The Florida Highway Patrol will be out in force this week to make sure drivers get to their destinations safely this holiday season.
That's why 'Operation Safe Ride' is getting a two-day head start this year.
AAA estimates more than three million Floridians will travel by car for the holidays.
FHP planes will be taking flight looking for aggressive drivers.
"Aggressive drivers will be stopped," Trooper Larry Coggins of the Florida Highway Patrol said. "They will be ticketed and in some cases they may be arrested."
He said more than 600 drivers were cited for aggressive driving during the last Operation Safe Ride in February. It's a growing cause of fatal accidents in Florida.
"We're going after the driver that follows too closely, that speeds, that aggressively changes lanes," Coggins said. "A lot of these situations turn into roadway situations where poepe are sometimes injured or killed."

</td></tr></tbody></table>In addition to their normal modes of transportation, state troopers also have access to 18 donated Mercury Marauders, the most high-tech vehicle in law enforcement.
The vehicles have a system that records video and audio.
State troopers said if you see an aggressive or drunk driver, dial *FHP (347) on your cellular phone.
