I love spotting my car on TV! Well, this time, it was just a small part of it. I was just watching last weeks "MOTORWEEK". This is the one where they test the Volvo V50. There's also a segment where one of the guys goes to the Tire Rack's test facility to be a "tire tester for a day". They show the guy going through the classroom portion of the day, and when they head out to the line of BMW 3's they're using for the tire testing, they cut to a car doing a burnout. I said "Hey, that wheel looks familiar". I stopped the video and backed up, and sure enough, there's a left rear Marauder tire doing a burnout! Gotta love that Dish Network DVR!

Maybe that burnout is why Tire Rack just went back up on their rear tire price to $88.

If it did a burnout it sure was not stock. I could not get my tires to spin when it was bone stock. LOL.

I got new rears at $79 a pop from Tire Rack weeks ago but before putting them on I had to make sure I got my moneys worth out of the old ones (as if, lol) so I did two brake stands and left rubber for 35 feet. My niehbor filmed it on mini DV so mybe I can post it or at least some stills. My only mod which is questionable is a K&N airfilter. I was worried about doing these but no harm seams to have been done except to the pavement:burnout:

I did burnouts all day long when I first got mine, brake standing, but burnouts never the less....
besides...for TV, they probably used bleach or tire dressing on the treads.
