I just bought my model of a RCMP Crown Victoria from AutoArt. These guys are great in detail workmanship. Too bad they don't make a Marauder (yet) as they could with ease as the casting would be the same.

The police officers out there should get one as one day they will be discontinued (I've heard nothing that they would be but...one day).

I got the RCMP one as I grew up in Vancouver. My 2nd pic would be the LAPD one (but that one comes with Amber taillights and the RCMP's tails are more smoked).

Hood, trunk, and all doors open and I believe the front wheels move (haven't taken it out of the box yet). I also believe the undercarriage is detailed with the dual exhaust and other features. It is 1:18 scale and made of metal.

Most car hobby shops have these or can EASILY order them; just use the codes from the website below:

I tried seeing if the company would drum up a plain black ghost car but no luck thus far.

I also hoped for dog dish but all come with wheel covers. The Montreal one "looks" like it has dog dish though as the blacked out the edges and kept the chrome center part of wheel cover untouched by the black out there by looking like a dog dish but this is not a very accurate representation. Cool though but Montreal isn't my 1st or 2nd choice.

AUTOart makes some really nice models... I also tried to see if they would make an MM model... Here's the response :( :

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your inquiry.
It is too late for us to develop this car now. Also, besides the changes he listed we must do, we will have to upgrade all the molds because the specification of the Crown Victoria is not as high as our current AUTOart standard. That quality standard is out-dated. Therefore, the investment is too large.
By the way, we would like to inform you that we have added the AA Collection, the on-line Autoart shopping center. Here you can explore the full range of Autoart's renowned die-cast scale model cars, discover details of upcoming introductions and investigate the ingenuity of our collection of automotive design sundries. Browse, select and shop. It's all here at www.autoartmodels.com (http://www.autoartmodels.com/) <?xml:namespace prefix = o />
We look forward to receiving your order soon.

Best regards,

There's a guy that modifies Crown Vics to look (somewhat) like a Marauder... Sooner, or later, I'll either get one of those, or grab a cop car and try to Marauderize it, myself.
