Can't link directly to it, but found it in the video section titled "Professional Saudi driver + Hyundai = CRAZY"

One year's worth of tires would cost more than the whole car!:burnout:

Drifting is for ricers and ricer wanna-bees. Many of thier cars cannot even do burnouts, so they had to come up with some other means of having recreational activity with their four wheeled beer cans. Maybe some day, some of them will see the light and get a RWD V8 car. Hopefully when they do, they'll be over their infatuations with under-the-car neon lights and those big gay looking letters across the windshield, as well as the fart pipes too.

Well, I got the following message...

"WuUps !!

q8speed.com only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer"

Of course, I don't use M$ Exploder for a few reasons. One, I like to use fast browsers. Two, I like browsers that don't hang or crash every few minutes and three, I don't like browsers with elephant size security holes.

Oh well.

Comeon on, Bill, what's with the generalized statements?

I happen to like drifting. I happen to be quite good at it and no, I don't own a ricer or want to own one.

When I was growing up every kid I knew did this. In my opinion it started here and the ricers figured out a way to popularize and legalize it. If you look at the cars that they use for drifting they prefer to use the rear wheel drive ricer cars to do it. Hmm, I wonder how that idea came about?

I give the drifters credit, though. They seem to think that real driving happens on tarmac that has turns and is longer than a quarter mile. :poke:

:P (just teasing you , there, Bill) :P

The drifting thing seems to have been popularized and has gone high profile via the ricer groups. It's been those groups who are calling it a "sport" now. Not hotrodders. And that's because that's all that most of those cars can do is "drift"....do U catch my drift??????........

To each his own but I find it cool. It takes talent to do that. Some of the rules in a event are to shadow the lead car and get as close to him as possibe. Points are given for the performance. If you pass the lead car while shadowing his moves, you win that match. The pros use high powered V6 RWDs. I know they setup the rear wheel's camber to make losing traction and drifting easier but I'm pretty sure these pro cars can do burnouts easily without them. It's kinda like rallying in small scale like autocrossing is to road racing.

Not trying to convince anyone of anything. Just trying to give more info on the sport.
