My 04 MM BB is not factory tinted. I kind of like the grade they put on the factory tint models. Does anyone know what percentage of tint is on the marauder that came tinted?

I would guess it might be solar tinted. 50% maybe???

All Marauders have a super light shade of a greenish-aqua color on all windows and is about 90% light at best...if even that. You can barely see it. The only time you notice the color is when the windows are wet and you see the color.

What most members do, myself included, is get the windows tinted darker at a tint shop. My rear ones are 20% tint which is, as you can see from my signature, fairly dark.

I have the lovely Dealer 35% all around, getting ready to put some 5% on the back window over the 35....REAL DARK

Your Marauder has tinted glass. Check the markings on the windshield and it will state " Solar Tinted ". FMC did away with the dark band on the top of the windshield begining with the 2003 300B Marauder after 1/1/03.

As for factory tint, well....if mine are then, um:bs:

I got my SC done with 5% on the back. Thats dark, so I guess 20% all around is good.

i have the same tint...came with the car, id have gone darker even though it still looks good as is. i didnt know u could put one tint over the other? i thought u had to remove the old stuff?

Ah, so it is pretinited....just not very much. So do you need to remove it? Will I run into a problem if I apply aftermarket tint to the factory?

remove = no
problems with adding additional tint? = maybe

If you apply the maximum LEGAL tint then its unlikely that you'll have any problems with the law. Anything over that and you will be vulnerable.

The glass itself is tinted, meaning you cant remove it. The tinting was injected into the glass when it was manufactured.

You and I put tinted Film over the glass, and yeah, go ahead.

I'm going to put tint over the dealers tint, back winders arent dark enuff!
