Ready to take the plunge. Was wondering about what price to pay for an '03 Black MM, 21,000 miles. The man that owned it is 67 and traded it in on an Aviator. Same dealership. Car is immaculate. Dealer wants 24,995, to much. I say around 19 or 20K.

I scoped out your dealership, but all they had was a DTR, and a silver with light flint interior. This was Early Dec I think.

I think that $21,500 is more in the correct ballpark for a car with 21K on the ticker. :D I paid $27000 for a new '03 Blue more than 14 months ago .... the dealer is quoting high IMHO.

Including tax and license I paid $20,000.01 for my 03 with 34k on the clock. Car had brand new BFG's on it too.

I paid 23 for my '03 in August of '03; it had 7800 on the clock. I think your numbers are right on.

Just curious ... but is there some specific significance to the penny over 20K ??? Or, was this the dealer's way of saving face by "selling at over $20,000 (technically).

Logan says $20-21k with 21k being a retail price. Car would sell privately for 19-20k max.

Initially I walked out of the dealership and got into my truck to leave when they attempted to sell it to me for 20k +tax. They chased after me and angrily agreed to sell it "out the door" for 20k. When they drew up the contract I saw the extra .01 on the contract and just chuckled. I figured they had to have the last word. I got an alignment job and transmission service out of them too!!

Thanks for sharing ..... I kinda figured there was some significance to that lonely little penny hanging out there by itself. :D

I paid 23ish for 03 with 18k on it. A little high I think, but was having trouble catching a used one anywhere within an hour or so of home. They seem to get snatched up quickly when they hit the lots. I feel a bit betting after finding out that blue ones are pretty rare. I always expect to pay a higher price on a large dealer's lot.

In May of 04 I bought an 03 with 3k miles for $22k in New Jersey from a dealer. Got the same story about a local trade. Car has been great now has 22k miles. Good Luck!
