I just called them to get some prices and I find out they closed up shop after 1/1/05!
He told me they made no money last year and it forced them to close.
What a shame....I wished them luck with their future endeavors.
I was going to post this on crownvic.net.....but the surver must be down...
I hate to see private companies close their doors.
:(It was sad to here of the news about Allen Engine Development. To uninformed AED built and sold Eaton roots based supercharger kits for the following Ford 4.6 engine applications; 1996-2002 CV/TC/GM, 95-97 Thunderbird/Cougar,96-2004 Ford Mustang,2002-2004 Explorer/Mountaineer,97-2003 F150/Expedition, and the 5.4 engine in the 97-2002 F150/Expedition. AED was one of the finest companies to do business with, especially with their "after the sale support". AED had the ability to design, engineer, and build motorcycle engines, automotive cylinder heads, intake manifolds, and complete supercharger systems from scratch. They even designed and engineered the supercharger kit for one of the Toyota Racing Development applications. The only negative things I can say about AED is that they were slow getting some applications to the market and they should have look at ways to further the inclusion of the more efficient(powerful) twin screw supercharger. It took them six years to get a CV/GM/TC supercharger kit to the market. As a person who has marketing experience, I know it is always crucial to have product and support available asap. Especially when the buying public is aware that you are capable of engineering and building a kit for one model of vehicle that has the same engine available in other models. I just regret not visiting their facility.

I put the AED kit on my Tbird FOUR years ago this month.
I have had ZERO problems with it and TONS of pure driving pleasure.
In my opinion, marketing and distribution were very weak.
I tried to discussed a business plan with them a while back and got the feeling that they had lost interest in the supercharger side so I didn't go any farther than the discussion phase.
I predicted their demise about 10 months ago.
They told me that a couple of companies were looking into buying their designs so If you find out that happens, please post the new owners here.

Glad I picked up the AED kit when I did. Sorry to see the company go, but they were not keeping up in the supercharger hp wars. The M90 is rather power limited feeding a 289 in the upper rpms. Still very well suited to make lots of low to mid range torque to move heavy cars. They had very well engineered kits and excellent product support.
2005Marauder,
I notice that your best Marauder time matches my best 6psi AED on a stock nonPI engine 14.6 @ 96. AND your best T-Bird time matches my best time on street tires now with ported nonPI heads and 9psi AED, 13.7 @ 101. Interesting...
