Just wanted to share some pics of Project Notch.
It's running great and handles amazing. She's got H&R 2" drop springs, Steeda caster/camber plates, Mac polyurethane spring isolators, offset rack bushings, polyurethane sway bar bushings, Steeda aluminum upper and lower control arms, and KYB shocks and struts. The tires are 225/60/16 in front and 245/50/16 in back.
I took her to Wild Rides Racecars in Farmingdale, NJ for some undercarriage work. The owner, Gene, fabricated and installed full length subframe connectors with seat braces. He also welded and braced the upper and lower torque boxes. While he was underneath, I had him fabricate and install a custom, NHRA legal, driveshaft loop.
It took me the better part of three months to find a CORRECT 1993 Mustang CD player for the car. This one has been completely refurbished and I found a NOS faceplate for it. I replaced the six factory speakers with Sony X-Plod units. Sounds pretty good... and REALLY loud.
I also had the vinyl on the driver side seat replaced. There were rips and marks on it from everyday wear and tear. The upholsterer stuffed some extra padding in the thigh bolsters for me. I kept getting bruises on my hamstrings from hopping in & out of the car!
Next up is BBK ceramic-coated long tubes, a VRS x-pipe, and Dynomax UltraFlo catback with polished stainless tailpipes. Then comes a 76mm C&L MAF and a BBK 70mm throttle body. After that, it gets painted in three-stage Electric Red Clearcoat Metallic. Can't wait!!
P.S. - Gotta love a Hurst chrome stick and cue ball!!
