The healthy thing!!! I hope.

Not sure what Marty is talking about???

01-10-2005, 12:24 PM
I comprehend Marty's answer. He's talking about not eating during the day or some sort of ulcer/reflux/gastro thing that some of us have. I have the reflux, and it gets BAD when I don't eat. Funny thing is I am never hungry when I leave at 6:30 AM, so I don't eat and then pay for it around 11 AM.

I had, well, nothing for lunch today.

Ow.

Yep, right on the Addison/carrollton border. Great marketing by opening only a few stores (ala Krispy Kreme) and creating a grassroots demand. Very smart.

I know theres a lot of them in Memphis. I've never had a real white castle burger before, only what they sell in the frozen food section at the grocery store.

Tasted like a burger that I had at the Varsity in Atlanta.

White Castle burgers have holes in the burger so they cook faster.

They do have Krystals in Florida. At least they did in North Florida. There was one on Blanding Blvd in Orange Park many years ago. I am not sure if it is still there. Dennis should know.

Cold pizza & warm beer for breakfast ?.

Been there used to do that in my late teens. I recall a particular morning after a really great date & all-nighter ... where I was left with really NO choice to do some leftover cold pizza & warm beer. I had to do something to combat a SEVERE case of cotton mouth I had(emphasis on the GREAT date thing). Any further details are best left UN-said here :P.

I'm originally from NJ & miss White Castle. I lived in the Trenton area & would take a road trip a few times a year to Edison - Toms River or the Franklin Mills Mall not that far from Philly PA ...... JUST to get some of those.

I've done Krystals here passing thru Jacksonville & Ocala ...

And I think they :puke: SUCK :puke:.

A White Castle they will NEVER be to me.

The frozen jobbers(White Castles) you can buy are just NOT the same as the REAL thing FRESH either.

Chinese food - the real stuff, not that fake "all you can eat" junk. I had sticky rice. White rice, a few veggies some spices and fair bit of chicken, wrapped in a large bamboo leaf, then steamed until cooked...

Mmmm.... Chicken...

Well I cheat with buying it in bags under the name of Chicken Ala King, but if ya was in the army back in the big one's, Gramps told me this would be the equal to it, 2 slices of bread, or toast, with a giant helping of whatever was leaft over thrown into gravy. I likes it anytime.

We also called it cream beef on toast. When I was in the service it was white or brown gravy with beef. Add like you said, about what else. On toast or biscuts with pepper and hot sauce!!!!
