I spoke with Jason today. The cover will be priced at $249.99 plus shipping. He should be sending out email notification to everybody on the list who committed to purchase. He will be requesting $100.00 deposit. After the deposits are paid, the first unit will be made and we will try to get NAVCHAP to go by for a test fit. Then the rest will be produced and we all need to pay the balance due. In order for it to be a GROUP PURCHASE, we need to work together so they can all be paid for and shipped at the same time. Payment can be made by credit card, check, M.O., paypal, but if you use paypal you must pay the 3% service charge. I did not ask, but I suppose the full price could be prepaid instead of the deposit.

As I understand it, this first production run will be for the number of units ordered by us in this GP, and there will not be any extras made. Future orders will be filled when an adequate number of units are back-ordered to make it worthwhile.

If anybody who signed up does not get an email from Jason, or if there are any additional members interested, contact him at: jason@dgmotorsports.com

Never been made yet. Molds will be made after deposits are received. Check the other thread for pics of the Lightning version. They make a very high quality product.

I'll put a call in to Jason tomorrow.
I'll probably drop the entire $250 if he thinks it will be in our hands within a month...

Guy's, don't know where I've been but just came upon this thread. Only missed it for 3 months... Sounds good to me and I'd like to get in on it if it is not too late.

I am sending an email to Jason tonight and will follow up with a deposit if he gets back to me.

Thanks,

Norm

He WILL reply to you. I assure you, he's top knotch.

I am still in, and waiting for a phone call regarding details. We only need fifteen folks to get this ball rolling, and those 15 folks need to send a c-note deposit.

This will be one of those rare upgrades. We will be of the few, the brave, the....oh hell....whatever!;)

The more we order, the better....maybe even a little lower cost? :dunno:
Gordon, The CF radiator cover would look awesome with all the other CF components that you have on your Kenny Brown engine!

Now I can't wait till it gets here.

I'm 13th. Only two more needed. I wasn't going to do it but but I figured I may not have another chance to get something special for my "baby".

I was wondering if we could do some other parts as well. I thought the radiator cover would look kinda outta place if it was the only CF part in the engine bay. I know some Marauders have CF intakes from Metco. I was thinking an engine cover would be a nice combo with the radiator cover. Jason was tossing out ideas for a hood, fuse box cover, door sills and the strip along the dash.

What you guys think?

Fuse box covers and door sill plates sound good!

I mentioned this in an E-mail to Jason some time ago....I'm definitely interested.

I told Jason, I'd be interested in a hood,
but only if we decided on doing a RAM AIR hood.
I told him about Cervinis.com, and asked him to look at the Stalker hood...
I wouldn't mind the Stalker hood with a RAM AIR box underneath.
At least my K&N AirCharger would snarl through the hood,
instead of just under it... :coolman:

Actually I like the heat extractor hoods but that is a decision for the future. ;)

I went to an Import show in Atlantic City last summer. They had a complete carbon fiber car. It was sick just to tap it and touch it. It was so incredibly thin skinned. I can't imagine how well that thing would handle and accelerate.

Jason has received many suggestions on future carbon fiber products. Hopefully this will work out for him. He is going out on a limb with this product due to the limited number of owners. It is up to us, as MM owners.

Put your pants back on man !!! :mad2:

The deposit was collected to have enough funds to 'make' the product.
Now we have to wait 'patiently' while the covers are being fabricated.
You do want them to fit PERFECTLY, don't you ?? :beatnik:

To all concerned, the new boss gave us tomorrow off. Our first weekday off in several months other than a Monday holiday, when DG is closed anyway.

Hopefully Jason can try the radiator cover on my car for the fit and function.

Our schedule is so packed that even though it's only 45-60 minutes each way, it's extremely hard to get away from the ship, especially when we are away from the pier, LOL!

Will post more info Friday evening. -kjs-

Went to DG motorsports this afternoon. Jason wanted to take another look at how the cover fits. He showed me the latest work on the cover, and said that they are still about three weeks away from completion. Going back in three weeks to get a fit test, hopefully driving home with it already installed. If the fit works to his satisfaction, the covers will be ready for shipping at that point. DG is a really nice shop and they have some really good people working there. Left Jason an autographed copy of March 2005 Super Rod. He liked it. -kjs-
