Mark - That's a good question for which I don't have the answer. Check out the 2004 Marauder engine on Ebay, that may be the way to go.

The '03 or '04 engines will work, just use your original wiring harness and only connect one of the knock sensors on a '04 engine if that's what you use. The Cobra, Mach1, and Marauder engines should work without having to change any internals, just swap the intake and such bolt-on items.

will an 04 motor work in an 03 Marauder with the 03 ecc?? Normally, you should always use the PCM that came with the motor...in this case, the '04 has dual knock sensors while the '03 has only one, so I don't know if the '03 PCM would work properly. Why not just use the '04 PCM?

Yeah, I saw that one. Looks like a ringer or two in there driving up the bids. When I see bids being driven up by bidders with little or no feedback, that's the first thing that comes to my mind anyway.

That should work...

If you change the pcm, it will have to be reprogrammed for PATS to work with the car. In addition, the chip or PCM programmer may not be compatible with the '04 PCM. I'm just speculating on that, recalling the fact that the first chip I used required the PCM code from the door panel. Does the PCM also control traction control? If so, the '04 PCM may work ok for a '03 300B but not a '03 300A.

The tranny is a good question, too. The '04 uses a 4R75W while the '03 uses a 4R70W. Supposedly there is a different ratio on one or more gears, which may affect the shift points and/or calibrations. I imagine the controls are the same, however, so it should function ok. The '04 tranny is supposedly stronger than the '03.

Ask Dennis his opinoon.....

An 04 computer cannot, CANNOT be reprogrammed with the 03 PATS codes.
It has been tried by the best without success.
If you use an 04 transmission, you will need to go into the software and change the internal gear ratio values, and change the # of speed sensor holes to the 03 spec. I think it should be 6 for an 03 and 24 for an 04.

Bottom line is you dont have to change pcm's

Dang...I forgot about PATS...thanks, Zack.
